Jim Carrey would have to be my favorite actor, since my childhood, growing up on the two Ace Ventura films. I personally do not see how you can call him talentless, he is one of the most talented actors in the movies today, and may be the funniest. I voted for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, although The Truman Show was very good, and away from his comedy side. I have yet to see ESotSM, but I hope to soon.

He's talentless as well. All of the characters he plays, are the exact same. Literally, all eccentric with no character background [ im not speaking 100% but at least 95%]. It doesnt take someone with talent to make funny expressions.

Enternal Sunshine was magnificent! It fed my needs for obscure and horribley out of place, yet satisfyingly serious and dramatic in all its strangness.
As far as his more comedic, "trade-mark", material goes, I always loved Dumb and Dumber. There is always some line or sub-context joke that you pick up on with each increasing viewing.
"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

I am probably way out there on this one, and while I love all of his work, especially Dumb and Dumber, I think his best is the Cable Guy, which most people think was a flop. I think it is a very very dark movie, and I wish he ended up dead at the ending.

we were waiting in the line for about an hour and then when we got to the front there were still a large amount of fans behind us and here are three little kids who obviously look up to him and he decides to leave as soon as were at the front. very scarring and have you heard stuff about what he does on movie sets. He attacked Jerry Lawler on the set of "Man on the Moon" and it was reported that he paid little to no attention to the children on "a series of unfortuante events"

Well, if he gave you guys your autographs, what about the next people, if he left when they got there, they'd be pissed too. Plus, why were you in line for his autograph if he is not talented. I just believe he is very talented, whether a good person or not.
