It's weird how some people just never win. Or they win the "old man" award someday (as my mom calls it), lifetime achievement thing. Same thing goes for alot of great actors and actresses.

I was really pissed off last night about that. I'm not taking anything away from Clint, But come on, imo a movie with a awesome cast and a great movie about Aviation, Was a whole hell of alot harder to direct than a Boxing movie. But ya know what, fuck the Academy. They can take that 13inch trophy and stick it right up there ass. Because everyone knows that Scorsese is one of the best Directors all time. He doesn't need a Oscar to Be one of the Best. He's movies speak for themselfs. Well thats my rant for the night
Leonard: I dont know. See, I have this condition. Teddy: Well, I hope its not as serious as his, 'cos this guy's dead.

DV- He presented the Humanitarian award to Roger Mayer. The man himself knows he's not going to get one, ever,so I dont think he's too worried, and like Capo said, its better to be alongside Kubrick and Hitch (BTW one of the piano players last night had Hitch's profile ) than Peter Jackson. In any event, had he won last night, it woulod have been a "sorry we didnt give you this sooner" award

So True, So True. One thing for sure, you will never hear Scorsese cry or complain over it.

I agree with nearly everything you have said here, only not with the title. I'd never cry for not getting an Oscar, Scorsese is bigger than that.
