no, it's not porn I'm talking about...... I mean those kind of movies you secretly watch and like no matter how awful their critics are. As for me, there are some chick flicks a supercilious critic would blame me for watching....one of them is "While you were sleeping" -- yes, I think I watched it 5 times at least. Yes, it's sappy, it's unreal, it's predictable but I love it. C'mon, folks, take courage and confess!
I don't want realism. I want magic! Yes, yes, magic. I try to give that to people. I do misrepresent things. I don't tell the truth. I tell what ought to be truth (Blanche/A streetcar named desire)

The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad I doubt any of the younger folks, and probably some of the older ones, will remember this movie. However, I loved it. The monsters are mechanical, the story is so simple, yet something about it I really like. This movie has monsters, a genie, a love story and of course a hero. I think I am the only one who likes it. Can't say I'm ashamed, but maybe "alone" in that I like this film. I think I've only seen it once on tv in the last 30 years or so. When it first came out, I'd bug my sister (who hates any kind of monster/horror/scary movies) to go see it with me. To this day, I still tease her about it. I am actually considering buying it. :p Btw, it was followed up by another favorite, "Jack The Giant Killer." TIS The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad

Not only do I remember it, but I have a DVD copy of it. To anyone who has never seen a Ray Harryhausen movie (with his wonderful animated monsters) you MUST see how he works his magic!

My husband not only has a list of "chick flicks" that he hates, such as "Terms of Endearment", but an alternate list of "chick flicks disguised as movies that guys might like" list. These are movies such as "Forget Paris" or "Jerry Maguire" where he feels that the writers threw in some sports action so that women could get their men to accompany them to these movies with the justification of "But you'll love it! Tom Cruise plays a sports agent! There's football!". One of the movies I am embarrassed to admit that I secretly love is Sweet Home Alabama. It's really a bad movie, but I get suckered into rooting for the young couple every time.

Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo Imdb page I don't own it or anything, but whenever it's on TV, I have to watch it. I remember going to Venice Beach when I was little (late 80's) and seeing the breakdancers there, just like in the movie. Besides that, I don't think any of the other movies I like are embarrassing, per se. I mean sure, I love a good chick flick every now and then, but guess what... I'm a girl, so it's okay. :p

I like a lot of "chick flick" type of movies like. Ghosts, Riding in cars with boys, When a man loves a women, Beaches, Pretty Women. Theres a couple more but I cant remember. Guys theres nothing wrong with "girl" movies. Plus when your dating or in a relationship they come in pretty handy
Leonard: I dont know. See, I have this condition. Teddy: Well, I hope its not as serious as his, 'cos this guy's dead.
