I missed the first half hour (I was at work), but caught the second half. I got a pretty good idea of what happened during the first half hour, and I agree with you RB. Definitely ranks up as one of the best episodes so far this season.
BTW, I'm about 8 hours into the first season of 24 right now. I didn't get into the show til the end of the second season, not because I didn't find it interesting, I just never got around to checking it out. I'm not a big T.V. person. Just films, mostly. But I'm really digging the first season. It's waaaaaay better than I thought it would be. I was figuring a series like this wouldn't pick up much steam til the second season, but fortunately that's not the case. Definitely my favorite show.

I've been watching it. Mondays can never come soon enough. I've finished watching the three seasons on DVD, and I gotta say, Jack Bauer is one of the most bad ass television characters there's ever been. He's not afraid to break protocol. Hell, in Season 3 he committed treason in order to complete a mission. This season hasn't disappointed yet. And with the return of Michelle two episodes ago, and the back and forth goings-on between she and Tony, is making for some interesting television. I'm anxiously waiting to see if ex-President Palmer makes an appearance.

Did you watch it tonight! Outrageous stuff, huh? It has to be the fastest hour of TV. I wish it was a 2 hour show. The twists and turns are just fantastic! But the ( Vice ) President is a damn wimp! If a President acted like that in a time of crisis, I would pack up my family and move out of the country! Tonights show was a prime example of civil liberties crossing the line! IMHO it is without a doubt the BEST show currently on TV. "24" is the only reason that I look forward to Mondays.
Don Cardi Couldn't agree more, Don Cardi. Hell, I was in the chatroom talking movies with some of the good folks on this board, but I just couldn't pull myself away from the television during 24. The new President is everything a President shouldn't be. The President of the United States is supposed to remain strong and firm during times of crisis, and he's hiding in a bunker because he's "scared." But that's ok, because Mike Novick has recommended a new "advisor" for the Vice President (sorry, I hate calling him President). I've been waiting all season for his return, and next week, it'll be here. You know who I'm talking about Don Cardi. I agree with ronnierocketAGO, this is the "Jack Bauer Power Hour." Kiefer Sutherland is amazing as Jack Bauer. I don't think anyone else could pull off the part.

Just been reading the posts about this show; I know longer fuss over possible spoilers; I still need to see season three.
I assume Palmer isn't President anymore then. Is he even in it?
And Tony was my favourite character in seasons one and two; glad he's still going.
Kiefer Sutherland is a great actor. He is the show. But it started getting ridiculous in season two. Is it getting worse?
Mick In case you really want to know, no he is not the President anymore. But as of late in this season, they have brought him back in as an advisor to help handle the crisis. I will admit that this season as far as the capacity of the terrorists and what they have done and still might do is a bit over the top. But nevertheless, I feel that it has been a terrefic season.

I always wanted to see Mia Kirshner (Mandy) more in the show. Her short appearances made her a 24 symbol for all fans of the show. She reminds me of Nina...very beautiful and very dangerous Capo - did u like Kiefer in any of his movies ? Yes, hes a great actor, same goes for his father! 24 is still the best show on TV (till we get the Sopranos back) P.S - Don Cardi - did u get my 2nd PM? Im not sure it went through.

What did everyone think of the finale? I have mixed feelings.
SPOILERS*******
I didnt like how they made Marwan and the missle seem less important plot wise then Jack's trouble with the chinese. For Christs sake, the missle was shot down with 35 minutes still to go in the eppisode. After that happened, I kept saying "There better be another damn missle or something." Overall, I was a little dissapointed. Great season, but a not so great finale.
That being said, I have no idea in hell how the writers plan to incorporate Jack back into the show after how this season ended. They will have to think of something I guess, but you can bet that it will be pretty far fetched.

Think about it! The show can go in many different directions from this ending! Keep in mind that Mia Kirshner is getting a pass from the government, just like Nina did! Don't think for one minute that Mia Kirshner is done! As for Jack, there are sooo many ways that they can go with his character. I thought that it was very smart of the writers to end it in the manner that they did! Many loose ends! Don Cardi

I loved the ending. The whole two hours, I was on the edge of my seat. I agree with Don Cardi, I think they ended the season the right way. I mean, granted, they've spent the past 5 ot 6 episodes trying to stop this nuclear warhead, and they stopped it before the 30 minute mark of the finale. It was necessary, though, because eventhough the nuclear warhead was a big deal, the situation with the Chinese and Jack was more relevant to the continuation of the show. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD. January '06 is too far away!
