February 21, 2024 — In reaction to the “no podcast” edict issued towards reputed Philadelphia mafia chief and rising social-media influencer Joseph (Skinny Joey) Merlino brought down by Genovese mob don Barney Bellomo and Gambino crime family acting boss Lorenzo Mannino at the beginning of year, jailed Bonanno mob leader Michael (Mikey Nose) Mancuso has chimed in with his two cents and an edict of his own.

“Stay off social media all together or you’ll have to deal with me this summer when I come home!”

That’s the word coming to the rank-and-file from Mancuso through his best friend and underboss-street boss John (Johnny Joe) Spirito, sources say. “Mikey Nose,” 68, is doing a year in the can in FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania for violating his supervised-release conditions from a murder conviction that sent him away from 2006 to 2018. What happened here?! Most of us are cool to each other around here and I think this was one big misunderstanding. Some drink booze or do other stuff while enjoying this forum and so I think that sometimes it gets out of control but by the end of the day we are all gentlemen and we can always shake hands.

100% agree. Even though I would not have used that quote, there were probably other things going on. All I know is that I regret responding in the way I did. I should not have responded at all, but I was very surprised because I've always held NYMafia and his work in high regard. Yes, this was probably a great misunderstanding. If that was indeed the case, then I certainly apologize for my reaction. I harbor no ill feelings towards him or anyone else here for that matter.

The Merlino stories by sites like that are meant for the gullible. Recent stories from that site and others have Joey Merlino fixing the presidential election, and the Super Bowl! Then the claims of Barney telling Merlino not to post, now it's Mancusco. If Taylor Swift and her football player boyfriend brake up, Scott Burnstien will put up a report that Merlino ordered their breakup, and all the rats will weigh in with commentary on their podcasts. Yet, people will go along.
