Apparently, Frank Coppa wasn't the first made Bonanno member to go bad. Bonanno members Joseph Notaro & Salvatore Giglio were also rats like 5 decades before. Notaro gave up Giglio & Giglio gave up Galante:

"Sal Giglio was located through Bonanno loyalist, Joe Notaro. He was also known as Galante’s messenger and a Captain in his own right. After locating little Sal, FBN agent Marty Pera appeared at his home with a photograph of his 1957 wedding photo to another woman. Where is that from? I never heard of Notoro being a snitch, there is an effort lately to put him down on different websites. The above sounds like a wannabe FBI agents fantasy.

It could be wrong, but that's what I read. The FBI lies too, they're just as bad as the mob.

Never heard of Notaro being an informant. Giglio may be noted in the Galante biography that was recently released; can't recall.
