Vincent Aparo in the Genovese family caught on tape saying this when discussing his induction ceremony with Michael D'Urso: "The induction ceremonies depicted in the movies are done better than the real inductions."

That is from a book being shamelessly plugged by Gerry Capeci for the past year on his site. An FBI agent and prosecutor wrote it, they must have been his primary sources all these years the way he is promoting them and their rat, D'Urso. Michael "Cookie" D'Urso is not the baddest, toughest, most respected (Before ratting) associate in history according to them. The FBI agent is named Campi. every other sentence out of his mouth is "The mob is full of hypocrisy" or something similar.

I wonder if Capeci co-wrote the book without his name being used? His entire column was devoted to it today. The book must be bad, it's been pushed back several times. One annoying thing is the way the 2 men, Polite and Fortunato, both wrongly convicted are sneakily portrayed as having been guilty in the wrtiing excerpts released so far.

I just read the new GangLand News lol, lame as usual. I remember back when things were popping mob-wise it was the first thing I went to Thursday morning, now I'm barely visiting late at night lol.

Here’s a quote ….. I was involved in NYC construction in the 80’s

A big shot walked me over to a table at a holiday party , a round table with what I thought were a bunch of old men, I don’t know who they were but he had some fun with me.

H said… “ did u guyz meet this guy, he will be starting our next job from the ground up”

They all laughed their asses off, I just stood there and did not even get it until, a bit later after I walked off.

Yes, it was very funny, I figured later he was saying I would be poured into the foundation cement.

It was Wild Bill Cutolo.
He through a really nice New Year’s party almost every year and I had been to a few of them.

Yep, Billy was a good guy. Very generous to his men and to everybody else in general. He sponsored charities, fund raisers and parties all the time.

My favorite funny Mob quote goes back to a January 1970 NY Times sttory on Joe Colombo. They interviewed Anthony Cantalupo, whose real estate office in Brooklyn "employed" Colombo as a "salesman." "Mr. Colombo is our best salesman," Cantalupo told the reporter. "He has the sincerest group of customers--no one ever tries to cheat him out of his commission." lol

I remember that statement he made.

No, I don't imagine they would try and cheat him." lol
