No. The Pappas and the Geritanos were rivals going back to when Gerard was a Ramper and Preston was with the Gallo brothers. They hated each other and the funny thing is that Gerard and Preston both started out as Colombo family associates and ended up being made in the Genovese family. Preston was Benny's uncle. Benny's stepfather is who brought him into the Gambino family.
