No owner has the same pet, smokes the same brand of cigar or drinks the same drink as another owner.

1: SC lives in a red house.
2: Partagas keeps dogs as pets
3: Patrick drinks tea
4: The green house is on the left of the white house (they are also next door to each other)
5: The green house owner drinks coffee
6: The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds
7: The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill
8: The man living in the house right in the center drinks milk
9: Geoff lives in the first house
10: The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats
11: The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill
12: The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer

You are correct, but how does the rest of the breakdown go. I ask this because there is only one correct breakdown. Someone I work with got the right answer, but the breakdown was wrong.

TIS, Double J, Mr Baggins and Apple are going to the premier of Godfather IV and it starts in 17 minutes and they must all must cross a dark bridge to get there. All four begin on the same side of the bridge. You must help them across to the other side. It is night. There is one flashlight.

A maximum of two people can cross at one time. Any party that crosses the bridge, either 1 or 2 people, must have the flashlight with them. The flashlight must be carried back and forth, it cannot be thrown, etc. Each BB member walks at a different speed. A pair must walk together at the rate of the slower person's pace:

* TIS: - 1 minute to cross
* Double J: - 2 minutes to cross
* Mr Baggins: - 5 minutes to cross
* Apple: - 10 minutes to cross

For example: if TIS and Apple walk across first, 10 minutes have elapsed by the time they get to the other side of the bridge. If Apple then returns with the flashlight, a total of 20 minutes have passed and you have failed the mission.

All four must make it in 17 minutes or you miss the movie.

Its a trick question!! Double-J, Mr Baggins and Apple all decided they'd rather stay and gang up on Patrick, and TIS didn't want any of that so she went home.

NOBODY crossed the bridge!

Tis and Double-J cross first: 2 minutes
Tis brings flashlight back: 3 minutes
Apple and Mr Baggins cross: 13 minutes
Double-J brings the flashlight back: 15 minutes
Tis and Double-J cross the bridge: 17 minutes

Smart kid! Too bad it doesn't help your b-ball picks. :p

I was stuck on the probably most common answer: 19 mins, figuring TIS would have to return the flashlight for each trip as she's the fastest. I figured, hell, 2 mins for opening credits, no one would miss the movie!

Ahh well, I'm a moron!
