Having lived through this nightmare and having known most of the characters I can truthfully say that this is the most accurate with the best looking graphics I've seen.

What is ironic is that John LaRocca and John Scalish were the most " passive, least violent"
Of the major mob bosses of their time. Both dons only used violence as a last resort.

Vince DeNiro was a favorite of John Scalish's. DeNiro was a candidate to replace alling Cleveland
Underboss John DeMarco.

The Mike Farah hit was one of the very few hits John Scalish gave the green light to
James Licavoli pounded the table to have Farah taken out.
He felt Farah just wasn't worth keeping around as Farah cutting into Licavolis % of
The profits from Mahoning and Trumbull Counties plus Farah simply was losing influence
With the local political machine.
However Cleveland Outfit "street boss" Frank Brancato wanted to keep Mike Farah alive.

So Farah I believe took 2 shotgun blasts from Tony Del Santer as he was taking practice swings
With his golf club.

Well put together mini doc, but the bombing tales can't be told without including the name
Tony Del Santer. Tony Dope was a well respected made fella in the Cleveland Family.
I think he Iived on Central Pkwy in Warren.
He quickly moved up to consigliere after Leo Moceri was killed by Greenes crew.
Lonardo was the new Underboss.
But Tony Dope died in 1977 in South Florida after a routine out patient surgery.
Del Santer was the guy Jimmy Frantianno contacted when it dealt with dealing with Licavoli

Del Santers death In my opinion left a void in Cleveland leadership affected the Family through
The 80s. He could have been a arbitrator of sorts between the Pittsburgh Cleveland Families in
Regards to Youngstown. I think he could have kept Charlie Carrabia in line.
But Charlie was only kept alive as long as he was cause Ronnie helped killed Danny Greene
But Lonardo gave LaRocca the ok to have Charlie eliminated after he just simply talking too much
Or I think he was keeping money intended for Ronnie's wife while he was locked up

Does anyone know what was the Detroit Family involvement in Youngstown?

I believe Vince DeNiro ran the number's business in the Mahoning Valley for the Democratic Chairman that was given the numbers in exchange for his control of the local politicians. I also believe that Tony would have been a great arbitrator between Cleveland and Pittsburgh in the Mahoning Valley.
Tony was originally sent to Warren to look after Cleveland's interest in The Jungle Inn as was Charlie Murgie, The Sunrise Inn, to look after Pittsburgh's interest.
Tony and Charlie became good friends and they collected tributes for both their cities from the Trunbull County Sports Books, especially Niles, Ohio.

I stand corrected. Charlie Carrabia was killed on the basis of a couple things
He was supposed to give Jimmy Trafficant 60,000 from the Cleveland Family
And it was suspected he kept it.

Jimmy Prato and Joey Naples had heard Carrabia was planning to hit them
I don't know if they made this up to justify killing Charlie but it's what they told Lonardo and Jack White

He was not being truthful to the Pittsburgh Family about his gambling machines

Do you know why the Commission or the Genovese Family never felt Youngstown should
Have had a traditional LCN family structure instead of being a "open" territory
Wasnt Dominic Mallamo considered the "boss" of Youngstown

Yes, commonly thought of that Charlie simply kept the cash. Big mistake: It was 2 Gun Jimmy's cash!
By the time Jimmy and Joey had Charlie wacked, everybody was ready to see him gone.
It's no secret that I knew Michael, but he never discussed "real" business with me. Your guess is as good as mine.
Big Dom was the first "Boss' of the Mahoning Valley that I knew of, but I was really still a kid.

I read on Gangster Report that the reason Joe Loose stepped down was because he gave up too much territory to the Genovese Family.

That would mean that the local guys under Loose were pissed and forced him out.
