The Merchant of Venice comes out right before the New Year and has Pacino playing the Jewish character, Shylock. This looks like an interesting role for Pacino that I could see him getting some attention for.

Tony Montana wasn't Oscar material... I now feel that Scarface is overrated and so is Pacino's role in the film... It was just a thug with a REALLY BAD Cuban accent.

In Godfather Part I, Michael was a suporting charected, I feel until the middle where he takes the reigns of the film. However, when he takes over I don't even feel he does well. One must wait unti he goes to Las Vegas to really see him act!

The other day i was bored on the net so I went to IMDb and looked up the Merchant Of Venice. Turns out it's world Premier was at the Telluride Film Fest!

Sorry, hometown pride. Looks like a good adaptation of the play, but I dont feel like driving all the way to NY to see it.
