Honestly, Sitdown news has to be the finest story telling channel of detailed day-to-day mob life.

When John told the story of him being sat on and the blow by blow of looking over his shoulder and word being sent back and forth with the administration was the best hour of YouTube period -- on deep, real LCN life.

Whenever he tells a story about a sitdown or meeting I'm just hooked as he's a real gifted story teller and the recollections are recent and detailed.

Maybe he's not the highest profiled, or the guy that made the most money but he was 100% capable as they like to say.

I absolutely agree, there is a realness to John's storytelling, even if he hasn't the years in of a Sammy or Michael who seemingly regurgitate what we already know. He has a way of putting you right there, and is genuine about it.

Totally forgot about this channel! She is up there with OC Shortz as far as bringing different perspectives to a ton of stories.

I definitely got into Fireside Chat's pieces, seems like they abruptly ended? Good narration though.

I fond that most just repeat what was printed in book, or go along with any story a guest tells. One bills guest John Alite as "John Gotti's Hitman!

Real Mob Talk Radio has a few good ones, so does NY Crime Stories. Michael Franzese is 50/50.

Yeah, I find that Franzese has gotten away from most stories, and ran out of content. I had him too high on my list. I'll check out Real Mob Talk Radio.

Definitely do. Which is why I like Mob Fax for example - because its legit clips/news stories from the time of, rather than after. Whether right or wrong, it gives perspective.

I was listening to Armchair podcast the other night and they were talking about some threats or something, it seemed like a bunch of hot air being thrown around but anyone know what they are referring to?

You should also listen to Lisa's Fireside Interview with the author of the book about Joe Colombo's life, his involvement with the IACRL, his subsequent attempted assassination, and various theories put forth by the author and none other than Joe's oldest son Anthony hilsemf who was a league captain and shoulder to shoulder with his dad during this difficult time....its thought provoking to say the least and casts a very dark shadow over the whole affair.
