I just saw a newspaper clipping about DeCavalcante boss Simone DeCavalcante talking with his underboss Joseph LaSelva about the mysterious death of Colombo boss Giuseppe Magliocco. DeCavalcante believed that Bonanno boss Giuseppe Bonanno poisoned Magliocco due to his ability to tie him to the plot to kill Gambino boss Carlo Gambino and Lucchese boss Gaetano Lucchese. This seems very possible given the time of Magliocco’s death and although the coroner found no trace of poison in his body, I still have my doubts. I'm thinking Magliocco was whacked. If so, it shows what a snake Bonanno was but then if Bonanno didn't trust Magliocco to keep his mouth shut about the plot it's hard to blame him. Why not?
