Over the past few years there has been talk about the NY 5 as the only viable, serous money making family left in the US. Usually the posts start out with a lot of good points and then some idiot turns it into an argument and no real answers, proof or facts that end up getting some of us any closer to having a clear understanding of what is actually left besides the NY 5. I’ve seen Chicago in the news quite a bit lately even if it’s not a Chicago family guy the news is about. Same with Buffalo. Lots of arrests and indictments for bikers, legit businessmen and others with parts of the indictment alleging serious ties to both families. Can we have a discussion about Buffalo, Chicago and the remnants of what is left in other parts of the country without it turning into a dick measuring contest? I’m interested in this because my knowledge is primarily regarding the NY 5 and things related to the Bufalino family. Any help or clarity is appreciated.
hey the above list/chart was one i quickly put together awhile ago showing who may be left and still active amongst the core of the outfit. this is by no means definitive but could show a more accurate number than some out of date charts/lists that r floating around online. when doing research for this chart i was surprised by how many of the men on this list have relatives in municipal/city positions,are police/admin,own restaraunts,owners of legit business and the like. it showed me that a possible reason we don't hear or read much indictment wise coming out of the windy city is perhaps these guys are finally bringing in easier legit money than the constant racket grind of days past. now i know there will be those that disagree with this chart and that is all good that is what this site is for.i do not live in chicago i have never visited the city unfortunately and i welcome any and all critiques.

Peter Gerace Sr. (brother-in-law to Todaro Jr.) sons Peter Gerace Jr. -owner of Pharoh's strip club in Cheektowaga,NY which was raided Dec.17 2019. Anthony Gerace -plead guilty to drug,firearm and gambling charges.
Robert Panaro Jr. (soldier)-from all media accounts he lives in Las Vegas and is inactive.
Joseph C. Bella III (associate) -no info who Bella works for but he is involved in a lot of criminal activity.

-i have checked online for info on most of the oft mentioned capo/soldiers of the buffalo family and cannot find any current proof of criminal activity. so either the family is now operating as a small tight operation or there is no family left. -the list above might show a total of 5 made men 3 of which are based in Hamilton,ON. -there is no info either of mafia activity in other parts of upstate NY:rochester,utica,syracuse show no current indictments involving mafia. -don't know where the DEA agent bongiovanni and masecchia line up in all this no reference to known mafia members in indictments.
