July 8, 2021 – For the past year, reputed Kansas City mafia captain William (Little Willie) Cammisano, Jr. has been fighting for his life. In June 2020, Cammisano, Jr., 72 years old, was stricken with the COVID-19 virus and put on a ventilator. While on the ventilator, he suffered a pair of strokes.

Due to rising medical costs for his rehabilitation, Cammisano, Jr.’s family started a Gofundme page (see below for the link), seeking $200,000. The page is already approaching $15,000 in donations and features a photo of Little Willie on a boat reeling in a really big fish.<

Little Willie Cammisano, Jr. is the son of former highly-feared Kanas City mob boss William (Willie the Rat) Cammisano, who died of lung cancer in 1995. The Cammisanos fought on the frontlines of the infamous River Quay War in the 1970s, with the elder Cammisano captaining the effort to control turf in the city’s popular bar and restaurant district on behalf of the Civella crime family. Cammissano, Jr.’s fiance is the daughter of one-time Kansas City mafia don Anthony (Tony Ripe) Civella and the great niece of the crime family’s namesake Nick Civella.

Maybe they're not broke, better to look broke to the authorities and later lay claim later if needed that they can't afford an attorney, pay huge fines and have nothing to to be seized etc. Pretty smart/forward thinking move. Beg for money and later be able claim i'm broke, not a gangster. Don't judge me for sins of my relatives. My two cents.

I actually already know all of that, and tried to make this point on other threads but to no avail. But if we were to take it as face value and go by appearances they seem to be in not such good financial shape.

I also want to say that I don't blame ANYONE for starting a Gofund me for a dying relative, if you're in such dire financial straits then by all means. However there are a lot of scammers out there. I wonder if the mob or what's left of it has tapped into this racket?

The mob needs retiree health care.

That's what happens when you decide to get intubated with Covid. No quality of life afterwards. That's if you even get off of the vent.

Cammissanos were heavy weights and bad dudes
Willie was the boss in the mid to late 80s until Tony ripe got out. killed his brother in law, bombed buildings, wacked the two tonys,robbed and tied up bonadonnas 13 year old son and gave him a mock execution
Willie Jr was a shooter for them in the 70s and 80s. Killed that guy reed
Did time in the 2010s for bookmaking and stolen property
Had strip clubs,joker pokers and vending machines...
