^ I'm lost.

I don't think there will be a black President soon though because only Colin Powell is qualified, and Condoleezza Rice still needs some more experience.... but Powell probably won't run, and even if he did he'd have to compete with Giuliani, McCain, etc. He might reappear as Secretary of State someday. Rice may reappear in the government's interior, too, someday.

Hillary may try to get the nomination, but it would be disastrous for the Dems if she got it. She has no chance of winning. If you think the Christian Right came out to vote against Kerry.....wait till Hillary runs.

The Dems need someone who can carry a Southerns state or two. And you cant get that by having a Southerner as the Veep on the ticket. He has to lead. So using that logic, I think Edwards has to be the guy. The question is how do they keep him in the spotlight for 2 years before the election season rolls around again?

I think an Edwards and Harold Ford (Congressman of Tennessee) ticket would be a great move by the Dems. Edwards would pick up North Carolina, I think Ford would deliver Tennessee (he's very popular there because he is considered extremely middle of the road) and the Dems would have a shot at picking up states like Louisiana that have a large black population.

In addition they would pick up the other blue states they got this time.

Fredo, you're my older brother and I love you, but dont ever take sides with anyone against the family again

Dick Morris has an obsession with Hillary. He's usually accurate, though. In this case, he's flat wrong. Giuliani is, in my opinion, the most popular politician in the nation. All conservatives love him, many moderates do, and that will easily deliver the Presidency, especially over Hillary. Hannity was right, though... Hillary is not going to stand a chance, and the support she does get will be more or less for Bill. Giuliani will slice and dice her in the '08 election.

Giuliani was a Democrat, sure.... way back when. He's moderate on some social issues, which is why he gets strong moderate support. He's a Conservative Republican, though-- no different than Bush on foreign policy, military, economy. It's the social issues that gets him all the attention as a Moderate or even Liberal-ish... truth is if he was President, most people wouldn't notice the change from Bush to him, as the stances on these few social issues don't mean very much.
