What's wrong with you guys these days? Have you become over sensitive due to today's atmosphere. We used to annihilate each other over on the old AM and RD forum and chalked it up to busting balls. You don't like NYMafia and she or he or whoever is annoying you and gets under your skin just go off on them or ignore them. What's this is cancel culture coming to a God damn mob forum now?

I hear what you guys are saying. But why not just ignore or choose not click into our exposes or articles if you are offended by them. Or if you do not wanna hear our opinions on various subjects?

I didn't realize there was a "quota" on how many times a member could comment or post up a story line, or interact on a subject. Especially when "IMO" the stuff we post up, as well as our viewpoints on all things OC are quite good, and the vast majority of the time spark healthy debates between us members such as I just had with BlackMobs and a few other guys earlier this evening. I think we had a wonderful "give and take"

Another alternative is for you to "create" your own articles and interesting story lines. Frankly, I would actually welcome it very much. I'm certain that Lisa would as well. As you know I throughly enjoy reading about organized crime in general. I would love to read some of your stuff. So please consider researching and doing so ok? I really mean it. I'm not being facetious here.

If you remember a few months back I even commented and encouraged other posters to do just that! POST UP for Gods sakes. It adds to, and enriches the forum. Afterwards a few posters did greatly increase their contributions here. Furio from Naples is a great example of that.

Look how much, and how often he contributes lately?? I love reading his stuff.

Why would it ever be required for Lisa and I (or anybody else for that matter) to "stop" posting as you say, or even "slow it down," in order for others here to post up content? Or to comment and interact on various threads as they wish?

I'll say it again. Is there a "Quota" that we are unfamiliar with regarding how many threads GBB forum members can post up in a given night? Or how many stories are allowed to be posted in a night, week, or month?

The answer is no. Am I correct here in saying that? So why do you in particular, and possibly a few others, feel that our backing off from writing stories about the mob is beneficial in any way, shape, or form? If anything, I certainly think it would detract from GBB.

Especially since (as you so eloquently mentioned), that "TNYM helps to keep GBB alive" and vibrant? What sense does that even make?

Is it that you feel intimidated by our presence? Or that the "high quality" (so to speak) or our work is intimidating to you and a few others? If so, thats a very foolish thinking on your part in my opinion.

Thats essentially like saying to please "dumb it down a few notches," so that a few others won't feel overwhelmed. Very silly thinking indeed. And I don't mean that as an insult to you in any way,

I see other forums are extremely vibrant and busy. With some fantastic and very interesting threads. People post up maps, graphs, photos, newspaper clippings, mugshots, etc. They also artistically create some fantastic mafia related charts on different families around the U.S. Much of it is very cool stuff.

GBB offers much less by comparison. GBB hasn't inserted into their photo gallery any pic in so many months its ridiculous. And it's almost embarrassing for all of us here that value GBB. There is NO good reason for it except that people are lazy, or don't wanna take the initiative. For whatever reason.

Now that I've put that into what I think is a proper context. Let me also say this; We should all be here for the right reasons....Those reasons being that we enjoy reading and learning about OC, and like to interact with one another. Am I speaking sense here? Or am I off base in what I'm saying?

And that's ok, you can post as much or as little as you like, but I find it weird you're being annoyed by another member's quantity of posts because you feel this "will stop newcomers from posting" while you guys haven't been adding much yourselves throughout the years. NYMafia joined in 2019...what was stopping you guys from adding content all these years when NYMafia wasn't on this board?

Honestly these kind of "calling out another member" threads just smell like some incessant adolescent need to stir up some drama.

NYMafia makes a lot of great contributions. A ton of knowledgeable members left throughout the years...I'm thinking of course of Pizzaboy who had a ton of insight on the mob in NY and NJ (amazing how he could provide insight without naming names or incriminating anyone)...or like BlackFamily who was very well versed in American street gang activity...and there's plenty of others...
Why would anyone take issue with the amount of great contributions NYMafia makes? If anything, it's keeping boards like these alive.

Gotta be honest, I'm from across the pond so I can't really share any firsthand knowledge of the American mob or organized crime in North America in general except for what I read or picked up from other threads and stories on the internet and I don't really have all that much time to contribute a ton myself. So it's topics members like NYMafia provide that make me keep coming back to this board.

By those #s, it seems Raven rarely posts anyway. He's averaging about 3 times every month or so. Zavattoni is averaging about 7 times per month, or less than twice per week.

So surely TNYM is really is in no way, shape, or form, interfering with these men at all. It makes you wonder what their true motives are for complaining. It's quite suspect IMO??

If I didn't want to give them the benefit of the doubt, I'd think they were sent from some "other board" on purpose to try and sabotage GBB. Because if they got their wish, the end result would only weaken GBB substantially in my view. And in the stated view of many others who visit here.

This is a reoccurring subject on the forum and it pretty annoying. How does one member's postings effect the traffic of another poster? It makes no sense! How the hell can you complain about anything if you barely post comments or create threads yourself? And who says, "you post too much, thats the reason I don't post" gtfoh with the childish attitudes. NyM said "step it up or shut up" and I agree. I would love to see more interaction and different perspectives of the members of this forum but for whatever reason, it hasn't been happening. Is that NyM's fault, No!. Obviously I am a fan of their work but I don't work for them. Right is right and wrong is wrong. I think the flack they get, is unwarranted and really something personal.
