Anyone have any theories about what happened to him? Who is the Genovese mobster mentioned in the article?

http://charleyproject.org/case/steven-aiello

Details of Disappearance

Aiello was last seen on Bronxdale Avenue in the New York City borough of the Bronx on September 15, 1995. He disappeared shortly before he was about to start a job as a bricklayer, and has never been heard from again.

Authorities suspect that Aiello's association with organized crime may have contributed to his disappearance. He was an alibi witness for criminal activity in the Gambino/Genovese families prior to September 1995. His testimony helped free a man charged with killing the son of a Genovese crime figure at the direction of the Gambinos. Investigators believe one of the two families may have been involved in Aiello's disappearance due to his suspected perjury on the witness stand.

Foul play is suspected in Aiello's case due to the circumstances involved. His father ran the New York Police Department's Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the time of his disappearance.

Mikey Balls is correct. Parrello Jr slapped Tore Loc for being disrespectful. Tore had the Victor Merdita guy whack him. Merdita went to trial, was acquitted of murder but got 10 years for something like criminal possession of a gun. I think Aiello testified as a defense witness. I don't know if he was supposed to testify a different way(I'm sure they wanted a full acquittal) or that the Bronx Gambino crew wanted to cut loose ends. The last place Aiello was seen on Bronxdale Avenue was Gambino territory in between the general area of two longtime Bronx Social clubs(several blocks away from each other).

Thanks for the info, guys.

From what I've heard about Tore LoCascio, he sounds like someone who leaned on his daddy's connections all through his life and used his name as a crutch. I'm not surprised he got bitch slapped and ran to someone else to get retribution.
