The Valenti brothers deserve more recognition in organized crime circles. Their impact was very significant.
I’d also add that Russo was strangled to death in the basement of Valenti’s restaurant on State Street in 1964. This information only came out a few years ago.

Thank you FV. I agree. Valenti was a major player for decades. And the fact that he was allowed, and had the moxie to form his own borgata decades after the original formation of Cosa Nostra speaks volumes about his abilities and connections.
