In 1492, Columbus Sailed the Ocean Blue -- man, and now look at us!

Here's to the unofficial Italian-American Day!

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

Happy Columbus day! The idea of exploring places that no one has gone before is something very worthy to be remembered for it.

Happy Columbus Day everyone!! Are schools off in the other states today? Ever since I've been in California, we've never had C.D. off.

True. I felt very proud exploring JG's bumhole. I boldly went where no man has gone before. Well that's what he told me. I don't know whether to believe him, they say the Grand Canyon is big.

Edit: I probably could have done a better joke than that with the quote given. Would female virgin jokes be bad taste?

Caption corner - give it a go.

TIS, isn't it a shame? I think the sorry-ass reasoning behind it is that it's not politically correct to celebrate such an event that abused and displaced the Natives of this land. I'm pretty sure none of the schools had the day off. Only banks, post offices, etc. I remember when I was little, we used to get the day off, even here... so it's not just a California thing, it's more of a "good old days" thing.

Now that I think, oh gosh, I wish I hadn't say that!

Nevertheless, I think very highly of Columbus unlike some others and I strongly believe he was Italian.

Happy belated Columbus Day!

TIS, I know at least one grammar school that got the day off here. I don't know about the rest though.
