You have got to be kidding me. Here's a part of the article you left out: "There was nothing under his suit jacket," said Nicolle Devenish, a campaign spokeswoman.
"It was most likely a rumpling of that portion of his suit jacket, or a wrinkle in the fabric."
Ms. Devenish could not say why the "rumpling" was rectangular.
I fail to see that "rectangular bulge" -- it looks more like a T to me, and probably a wrinkle. Has anyone tried to speak live while being fed lines in an earpiece? It's almost impossible. I think some people like to look for the littlest damn thing to discredit this guy, turning a wrinkle into a receiver? OMG! Tho I do have to admit I thought "Bush's Bulge" would be about something else...

The article said he wasn't wearing one... Nor was the bulge from a bulletproof vest, according to campaign and White House officials; they said Mr. Bush was not wearing one.

Kerry may have "won" the first debate, but he was creamed in the second. Check out the news -- everyone's praising Bush's performance. And, yes, Bush is still ahead in the presidential voting polls, to my knowledge. Edit: Here's an example... Anything to discredit him. Some people just can't take a loss like a man -- gotta make up excuses. "He was using a radio!" Oh, lord. I agree it sounds ridiculous. But if you read the full stories: first the Bush team said it was a doctored photo, then they said it was a rumpled suit. Which is it? This story got a brief mention this morning on a Sunday talk show. Maybe its some bonafide secret service security device that they can't talk about? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/3730364.stm

The picture however, must be from the first debate because he was standing in the first debate and was simply awful. If he was getting coached then, they sure picked the wrong person to feed him the lines.
TIS TIS The photo in question was from debate #1. Even I, as a true die-hard Bush loather, find it hard to believe that he could be that stupid. Wait a second, he is one of the all-time dumbest to be in the Oval, but I don't believe it was actually a wire. But just the fact that he and his staff have to waste their time on it gives me a good chuckle.

Does anyone doubt had that been a photo of Clinton debating for his second term, even with no proof of a wire, that there'd be outrage from the right, and that Ken Starr would have started an investigation and impeachment proceedings would be on the way. ha ha....I'm feeling extra feisty today!! It's great to vent. TIS

TIS TIS Not for one second do I doubt it. I'll go one further. If it was proven that Clinton misled us into war, like the report has proven how W. misled us, imagine that scenario with Starr and his cronies. If, God forbid W. gets re-elected, I hope some Democrats have the courage to start impeachment proceedings immediately. If lying about sex is an impeachable offense, certainly lying about reasons to go to war and suffering the worst terrrorist attack ever would qualify.

I was actually watching that debate the other night (even though it was on pretty late our time) and I remember saying to my boyfriend that Bush was pausing between each line he came out with, as if someone was feeding him the lines. Wouldn't really surprise me. Kerry was probably wired up as well. There's too much at stake for them to come out with a duff answer to a question - especially seeing as that Bush is hardly the sharpest tool is the box.
...there's people who would pay a lot of money for that information. But then your daughter would lose a father..instead of gaining a husband.

Bad intelligence, and suffering an attack is reason for impeachement? I guess we should strike FDR from the books then, because there has been evidence that the White House knew Pearl Harbor was going to get attacked. What about James Madison, when they burned the White House? That was an attack! I tell you, getting blown on White House time is a bit different than trusting international intelligence to protect the nation. :p

[/quote]Howard Stern said this morning that its a bullet proof vest - he knows about those things. Its amazing that in this case, I actually believe Howard Stern over the White House. Millionaire Stern certainly needs security, therefore it is credible that he knows about bullet proof vests. Also, the Bush photo does NOT look like just a tailoring problem. The picture doesn't lie - the edges of the "T" or box on Bush's back are too sharply defined to be a coincidence. It is perfectly fine for the President to protect himself. But why the lie about wearing a bullet proof vest?
