Not discounting what he did, because being undercover for 6 years takes some serious balls, but the whole $500,000 open contract thing is complete garbage. Would have caused 1000X the damage "Operation Donnie Brasco" ever did or could have if they decided to murder an FBI agent. Once the damage is done, what would be the point of killing Pistone? The FBI would have spared no expense or manpower going after them if they tried something stupid like that.

He plays down the contract. Obviously there was a serious threat for a few years after the fact but nobody's gonna take him out these days, it's just not even worth talking about. I do understand the shades though.... if he's very easily recognized by everyone on social media, he'd get hassled regularly for pictures etc...then someone might take a swing at him just because they didn't like him..remember he's about 80 years old. That's the only threat he's got these days.

For me, it's the best, most in depth interview available. OK, it repeats the book obviously, but still worthwhile - the guy is a real age now and to have that captured on film is great.
