Saw a couple wiseguys at marco polo, a mobbed up restaurant in Brooklyn. They had heavy Brooklyn accents and talked about unions. Think i may have seen jojo corozzo near the resturant as well. That restaurant is ridiculously mobbed up. Foods greats too. Besides that a restaurant I used to go to i beieve had mob connections and was later closed for money laundering. Thats about it

I did some work (legit work) for a guy who was involved in the pizza connection, he cooked us up a lunch of sausages and Chimays.

I googled the guy I did work for, and I believe he's related to the Cherry Hill Gambino's. This guy still owns pizza places.

I grew-up with the top guys of the LaRocca/Genovese era of the Pittsburgh LCN.
Considering that they're all dead now, this probably doesn't count.

And to think that Furnari is pushing 100 and still giving people "Tick Specials".

I've had interactions with a few Rochester associates and know two personally. Mostly gambling figures and enforcers. They're all either dead or ancient now and don't talk about the life, but you can tell by the way they carry themselves that they are still and always have been street guys. No nonsense guys who command more respect than they show. Pretty racist too (the N-word flies around like crazy), but nice enough to me (I'm Italian) and very loving to their families. They're pretty generous with their cash also and tip very well.

I'm a bit young to have known the top players though. Most of my knowledge comes from second hand stories told by older friends/family that were alive during they heyday. My hometown of Rochester, NY was a huge mafia city and is small enough that nearly every Italian-American born between 1910-1960 was touched by the mob in some way if they grew up in the inner city. Per capita, there were probably more men connected there than most other American cities.

Like the above poster, I've dealt with some Turkish OC players. Ukrainians too.

Elsewhere, there was a Utica guy in the 1970s who was close to my family and allegedly offered to wack a neighbor who was giving a relative of mine problems. From what I've been told it was shocking how blunt he was especially since the dispute was somewhat minor. This offer was declined.

I also had a cousin who was murdered in Sicily by Cosa Nostra. No idea why though.

And there are plenty of people who idolize these men. Talk about them like they're rock stars or play for the Philadelphia Eagles. The mind boggles.

I met Christy Ticks recently outside an abandoned bodega. I was told I was meeting someone really high up, really important, regarding some moneys I owed to some dangerous people - I mean wacko, right? Real loopy loo guys. Kinda guyses that would shoot someone to see if they bleed green. Money on the brain these guys.

Anyways, lest I go on a tangent, I had my guys each side, Bruno Bats and Sally Sausage, cos a guy needs protection, right? I felt more nervous than I did on prom night. So I'm clamming up. Sweating like crazy. Like Michael Jackson at a Middle School assembly. I mean, I was BUZZED.

All a sudden I hears the spokes of a wheelchair. I mean this motherfucker sounded like it hadn't been greased since JFK was getting blown in the White House. Let me tell you something about that night. It was dark, brother. I could hear this fuck before I could see him. As I said, that wheelchair was like nails on a chalkboard. All I could see was these glow in the dark stickers the guy had on his wheelchair. As I said. Wackadoo.

All a sudden he speaks up. "My name is Christy Tick Furnari" he says. ", I represent the Lucchese Family." Now, I'm shaking. Now I heard about specials all the time. Love them. At this delicatessen I know, you get one special, two meat loafs for the price of one. Let me tells you. The Tick Special is not a deal you wanna avail of, pal.

"I hear you owe some very dear friends of mine a great deal of money." "I don't play around." "You're gonna pay what you owe plus 3 points over the vig." I protested. I screamed and shouted. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! All a sudden, the fucker pulls down his pants. He says.. "Either you grease my palms or you can grease somethin' else."

Long story short I did what he asked. And so that was my first, and by the grace of God the last, encounter I had with a guy called Christy Tick Furnari. Motherfucker may be in a wheelchair, but I personally know several knockaround guys who were made to fellate his shriveled, beat up penis.

My lesson is in short. You owe money. You pay, with interest. On time.

These are not exactly meetings with OC, but its all I've got.

I lived in Phoenix in the 80's. I knew a guy who claimed that he had been in the mafia before I met him.

I didn't hear until after he died that he claimed to had been in the mafia. My father told me that this guy had been in jail for murder. The guys first name was Leslie. He said that his son was actually the son of somebody he had killed. That sounds like a movie plot to me, so I'm kind of skeptical about his story. He said that after leaving the mafia he had been seen (I think at a baseball game) by other guys still in the mafia.

Before that I lived in Pennsylvania, A family friend moved near us and worked at the Gus Gennetti hotel in Hazleton. The guy that ran the hotel was an associate. Our friend moved there from out of state and she was very nervous about taking her drivers license test. The manager (the associate) liked her because she was a good worker. He told her not to worry about her drivers license test. When she went to the DMV she was given a special test. It was a one question test, yes or no, and she was allowed two choices.

Seen in life, but never spoke to:
Ivan "Khariton" Kharitonov, head of Kharitonov Brigade in Latvia. Pretty much passing on the street around 6 years ago, saw him speaking with someone and then getting into his car in old town of Riga. That crime group pretty much was/maybe still is the strongest group in Latvia.

Yuriy "Polkasha" Podpolkovnikov, he was with the Pardaugava Group, second strongest crime group in Latvia in 90's. Later it's said the disbanded into several smaller brigades. Podpolkovnikov is said to be representing Solncevskaya Bratva in Latvia.

Had contact:
Janis Raudov - In 90's he was a criminal authority in a smaller Latvian tourist city Sigulda. Had him on a Latvian Social Media, for some reason this guy congratulated me on every new year. Last info I know is he is currently working in Austria and owns a hotel there. The story goes with this guy is that I had myself a crime case when I was around 20 years old in that city, and the first thing the police investigator asked me was if I'm a part of this guys crime group. grin I briefly knew actually a nephew of his, who now is some journalist or something like that. But as long he told me, the whole family has distanced from the criminal.

Janis Kletka - Basically, after a night of drinking with my friends I met at a bar another guy, who was some big shot in the 90's in that city. Had few drinks with him and he told me and my friend some stories from his times. Told us both not to get into crime(me and my friend pretty much back then was doing some minor criminal shit, something you regret when you become older, but still tell as a story to your grandchildren). Funniest thing he knew this guy Raudov from that city and told us that he's a piece of shit and always had double-crossed everyone he had business with.
