i think it's time we admit the streetgang era from the 90's is oaver. there are no moar gangs.what you see in the news labeled as gangs are realy record labels. rap is the predomanint culture in black communities. people get it soo confused.likeBMF Entertainment.the police, and media labeled BMF as a gang,or drug trafficking group, they even had their own special on the tv show Gangland but BMF were a record label.big meech was a music CEO,big meech was knot a gangster.there are know gangs in Chicago, only rap groups.every socalled "gang" has a youtube page with music videos.here are a brief list of rap groups that people misidentiy as gangs

BMF (atlanta and los angeles, they never existed in detroit)
Glo Gang(chicago) Chief Keef is knot a BD,Glo Gang is his record label
Slaughtergang (atlanta),21 savage is knot a blood,he's a rapper. Slaughtergang is knot a real gang
KK(rapper -atlanta,knot a GD),there are no GD's in atlanta,he raps for a living,he's knot in a gang

none of the Bloods, Crips,GD's,Vice Lords gangs exist anymoar from the 90's they are retired or extinct.there are rap groups that market themselves using those gang names, but they are knot gangs they are music labels.

add on

Retired? Do the crips give a pension when a member retires or are they forced to live off of their 401k?

lol!! do you ever go on Youtube? look up the channel calledKevmac, or Streetgangs.they interview the moast notorious ex-Crips and Bloods.they are moastly between 50 and 60 years old now. the youngest living Crip is probably in his mid 40's and is retired. and by Crip,i mean actual gang member. any Crip under 40 years old is a rapper, but knot a gang member.there's a difference.like Nipsey Hussle, for example.he's a Crip/rapper, but he's not a gangster.Crips & Bloods have formed their own rap groups, and record labels.there are no Crip or Blood gangs.law enforcement knows this that's why you never hear the police refer to them as gangs, the only gang the police regonizes is the surenos and ms13 because they are the real threaet.

yes,i agree LA is the gang capital. the only gang in LA is the surenos though, they've pushed all of the Crips & Bloods into extinction. there's no gangs in NY,except the surenos, ms13. and Chicago's gangs went into retirement, but there are several violent feuding rap groups and record labels.for example in Chicago, there was lil jojo's record label Bricksquad vs Chief Keef's label Glo Gang. people mistakenly thought it was a gang war between the BD's and GD's,but they are rappers,Chicago has no gangs.and I agree no one takes any other cities as seriously as they do LA,NY or Chicago. the only reason I mention a city like Atlanta in the first poast is because Atlanta is considered the rap mecca, but no Atlanta does not have any gangs.Atlanta has never had a gangproblem.there are several rap feuds in Atlanta, however.

Chicago has several record labels, and violent rap groups that fight each other.they're not considered gangs, though.they are moar focused on making music, and recording diss songs instead of fighting over turf or money,or other stuf gangs traditionaly used to do. today, they argue over social media, and in rap songs. look at this article from ABCnews from 2012 "Chicago's Gang Violence Feuled Through Social Media".

http://abcnews.go.com/US/chicagos-gang-violence-fueled-social-media/story?id=17464743

here's a few key quotes:

"Gang members, some of whom are aspiring rappers, often use Facebook, Twitter, Hipstar, MySpace, Youtube and other social media outlets to spread inflammatory messages and encourage rival gangs to respond."

"they are fighting for reputations and the opportunity for a big break. In short, it's a "beef over rap," he said.

see,i'm knot making this stuf up lol even the news reporters, and police agree,Chicago doesn't have gangs, they have rap wars.

I'm sure some are living off their LAPD pensions.
