https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-s...ion-of-investigation-mob-report-1992.pdfIt’s 100+ pages and I’ve gone through 10 but there is some great stuff here.. Wiretaps from 1977 with Harry Riccobene, Phil Testa, Chickie Narducci and Scarfo discussing issues with getting non mob guys to put their name on business they ran. Also shows Scarfo blatantly defying Bruno on who would head an Atlantic City union. Scarfo went to put Frank Gerace on record with him and Bruno wanted Natale, and Scarfo told Gerace not to speak to anyone but him.

I have read that before. Its a great read and it perfectly describes both the depths and overall reach philly had back in the 70’s and 80’s. they were very powerful at that time and had the full backing of both the genovese and gambino’s. Not to mention the north jersey philly guys being tight with the luccheses. Not to digress but south philly was a perfct breeding ground for italian OC, similar to brooklyn and queens back in the day. The decline of the traditional italian hoods really effected membership. I agree 100%,,,I live here & in the 80s worked in south philly,,it was crawling w/wannabees,,not anything like it 2day.
I didn't want to leave blood on your carpet...
