Out of all the characters not the actors, would you vote for? Don't worry if they are dead.

Personally i would vote for Sam Rothstein, played by Robert De Niro in Casino. He is intelligent, smart and a reasonable man, If he run the country the same way as he did his casino, it would do any country some good.

I think this might be in the wrong discussion area but that's alright. I'd vote for Jimmy "The Gent" Conway from Goodfellas. Welcome to the boards scarfacelondon!

Yeah that is a scary thought.None of these gangster characters would really be good leaders,it would be like having Howard Dean as president.
BTW- Welcome to the boards, I hope you enjoy your stay. However in the future you might what to put this somewhere else.

WELCOME to the boards! It is always nice to have a newcomer with new and interesting ideas to post to the boards.

Hmmmm, a movie gangster that would make a good President. That's a really tough one. I would have to say Don Vito would have made a good President during his time. Level headed, cunning, soft spoken, carried a big stick, well liked, respected but feared and always in the know. Not afraid to defend what he stands for. Good negotiator, reasonable man and a good listener. Surounds himself with strong, able and intelligent people. A very powerful man in many ways. I would say that these combined attributes are what makes a good leader. Yeah, VITO for President.

( As you can see I have moved this topic to it's appropriate folder ).

I think Tom Clancy's famous character Jack Ryan would make a great president. Time and time again he has saved America with his cunning instincts. Who better than him?

Add the fact that he actually became president after the plane crash into the Capitol. A non-partisan president - amazing concept. Only in a novel!

Michael Corleone is more powerful than the President.

Actually, maybe I'd vote for Gary Cooper.
