Locals worked the jobs in all the business, very rare a outsider was brought in other then when Resorts first opened in the 70's .

Very very small town so we got everything and all the shows all the huge boxing events from the very best suites .

I read there opening 2 sport books on the strip one in the borgata. Should be any day now. That should bring in tons of money n biz. Make it a destination again. Put a dent in the wiseguys pockets.

The us supreme court is hearing the case for new jersey sports gambling the first week in december. However the ruling at the earliest will be June 2018. From what I read. But everyone thinks its gets passed finally.

The state got so used to AC billions paying for every in north jersey that since the payments stopped things are falling apart up there and looks like they will do anything to get there cash cow back !!!

Weed is coming to , friends are putting cash together to try to be in first . The greasing the palms of the new administration has started .

Personally I’m excited for the new Hard Rock Casino to open up in AC- at the very least it will give The Borgata some competition and drive their prices down/ make them have to give away comps easier (that’s the hardest AC casino to get comped at by far). The Borgata has had the upscale, professional, white high end 20s and 30s early 40s aged market by the balls for years now!!

Yeah you have to be feeding them good to comp , it's not like the 80's it was all comp and scam comps at restaurants in the casino .

Think it's good for the city with Hard Rock opening and good for the customer like you said . I hoping for some big acts to start coming back .

@Serp - Who was that Sonny Mancuso guy (I think that was his name in the AC Confidential YouTube clip above)? Was he connected, or just some restaurant owner who knew things? I'm assuming that they didn't just randomly pick his name out of a hat so I'm just wondering what his deal was and why he's relavant to all of this and what not? I've never heard of him with regards to Scarfo and the 80's move in AC, etc? Also, why are you surprised he wasn't whacked? You can PM me if you can't post it here...
