Hey fellas...So Im aware I have asked about him in the past and even started a thread about him, but at the time wasnt able to get much information on him outside of the articles related to his bust in 2002 where he was shaking down titty bars on Long Island and him being described as "the real life Tony Soprano" fuckin 50 times!

With the recent Lucchese family busts, and their boss Matty Madonna, Underboss/street boss Steve Crea's being either locked up or facing serious charges, once again Joe C is not indicted and not mentioned at all. As of his bust in 2002 he was the Consigliere. Does anyone know more about him in terms of his current status in the family? I would venture to guess he has to be the number 1 Lucchese guy on the street thats free to operate? If hes not the top Lucchese guy thats not in jail or under indictment, does anyone have any idea who that may be?

Im mainly bringing him up b/c with the dumpster fire that family has been since Casso, he seems to be the most low key, and quietly powerful member. Does he and the Lukes in general have a large presence on Long Island? If anyone knows more about his current status or even his history since I cant find shit on him, that would be much appreciated.

Fellas I gotta do it and bring this thread back active....I have to believe that Joe C is the current acting boss or street boss of the family? He is without a doubt the highest ranking most powerful Lucchese thats not in jail and under indictment?

Was Steven Crea Sr/ and Jr. remanded to jail while awaiting trial or is he out on bail? Because if hes out, then I take back my earlier statement, and would think Stevie is still running the show regardless of bail restrictions. I know Matty Madonna who was the acting boss according to the FBI is in jail

Does anyone have any insight or just educated guesses as to what Joe Caridi's position is within the Luccheses currently? If hes not the acting boss, or at least still the Consigliere, who would you guys venture to speculate is running that family on the streets these days? appreciate any insight as always fellas..

Sorry if bringing him up is annoying, def dont mean to be, but this guy for some reason fascinates me, hes so low profile, yet allegedly according to LE and the articles from his last arrest in 2002 was the #3 guy in that family for goin on 20 years and theres literally nothing on him anywhere online....And in todays day and age that shits impressive

Thinm about how vic amuso made joseph defede his handball partner the acting boss of the family in 1994. The guy wasnt a killer had only been inducted in 1989. There was probaly a handfull of capos made back in the 50 60tys who would have been better acting boss back in the 90tys so amuso tapping that guy as consig might have been him keeping the job away from someone who would take over the family.

Couple things i read about him he was a long island and florida guy so my guess was maybe the avellinos brothers put him in a acting position cause they were locked up during that time and he watched over there interests.

Pmac - Appreciate the response pal...Thats an interesting point about Defede and Amuso. Do u think it was Amuso who made Caridi consigliere from jail, or was Defede acting at that time? For some reason I felt like Louie bagels was acting when he made Caridi the consigliere, but thats just a guess based on possible timelines.

Anyone know who or when officially Joe C was made consigliere?

Also, thats interesting you mention the Avellino brothers, because I was gonna say, Id guess Joe C came up in their crew seeing as they have been the Lucchese powers on Long Island going back to Tony Ducks, and per the indictment in 02 that called him and any other mobster arrested at the time the "the Tony Soprano of LI" and he was I believe headquartered or shaking down a few titty bars
