Based upon the evidence, the answer is no. Name a case in the last 10 years where they killed a former snitch? John Alite isn't hard to find and no one has touched him. I'm curious to hear of a case where a former federal witness or informant was killed. The heat isn't worth it.

The most recent one I can think of is Mario Riccobene of the Philadelphia mob. He ratted on his brother Harry in the early 80's, but left the W.W.P to try to rejoin the mob. He was murdered in 1993 in South Jersey.

I agree with you that if someone hangs out with a rat not only is that a joke but talk about playing with fire, that's some dangerous shit for everyone . I assume your talking bout gambling as for some reason gambling still isn't really looked at as a crime by these guys . Even the younger made guys will talk openly on the phone about gambling cuz well it's only gambling . Once they get popped they will usually change up but until then some of these guys are real loose on the phone i.e. Perna kids.

That Jewish Bayonne gambler that everyone knew was a rat , forget his name but he did a lot of time in Hudson County Corrections around the credit crisis period , as I know a CO there and he still got some respect, prolly cuz of the $ thing but also cuz it was only gambling lol .

Skinny Merlino got a ton of respect at Hudson when he was there and not just from the inmates but the COs too . He was a big deal , and kind of acted like it from stories I was told - and mind you Hudson has some rough Mo Fos in there .
