Interesting observations in this review I just found. It's part of From Under a Rock, where one reviewer who has seen a film before watches with the other one who has never seen the film. Sometimes, fresh eyes bring a fresh perspective.

This is quite interesting!

Quote:
It never got confusing, and that’s a testament to the entire production because it would be very easy to confuse viewers

I wonder how many viewings it takes before you start going, "Wait...what...?"

Michael Corleone started in the business with good intentions, his father pretty much always had good intentions. He’s no saint by any means, but I’ve always gotten the impression that he was a reasonable and moral man at his core.

Coppola. This is all Coppola.

Whoa! Where did this come from? Is this part of the review or your opinion Pete? "Good intentions"? "a reasonable and moral man at his core."?

Where? When? How? Please tell me it ain't so!

The two quotes in my post are both quotes from the linked review.

Watched AHC's Joe Valachi today. Some of you who have seen it may have noticed its parallels with GFII and Frankie. Like Frankie, Valachi turned on his boss when he thought he was out to kill him; he testified (although differently from Frankie) before a Senate committee; he was sequestered on an Army base.

Although Frankie didn't do it, Michael revealed the title Godfather just like Valachi did.
