I am doing some research on the different Italian factions. It seems that they operate a lot more secretly than the mafia in America. It's hard to find who the leaders are. I was wondering if anyone has any info on current active leaders of any of the Italian O.C.? Cosa Nostra, Ndrangheta, Camorra, SCU? Does anyone know who is leading any clans within those groups?

Is there any clan that you are particularly interested in?

Cosa Nostra in america is overexposed.
While in Sicily after Riina ' reign Provenzano rebuilted cosa nostra but doesn't managed to rebuilt a new commission because in 2008 the police made a great raid and arrested 90 mobsters.the camorra clans are in a permanent war and in some cases like the "paranza r'รจ criature" the clans become a baby gangs with the bosses that are very young if not under age. And respect the US situation more camorristi still command will are on the lam; this made more difficult to made a sure chart of camorra clans. The ndrangheta is very close with no significant pentiti.
I dont know much about SCU.

Thanks Strax & furio. There wasn't one particular clan that led me to this question. I've just been interested in how Italy runs their O.C. and have read up on some of the factions but don't really find much on the leader. Obviously, Cosa Nostra clans like the Inzerillo & Corleonesi jump out from their history. The Camorra, the Casalesi clan jumps out. for the 'Ndrangheta, they all seem to be very secretive and quiet... which helps them be as successful as they are right now.

This all started with reading up on how families in America work with these Italian families. I know Frank Cali has a close ties with the Inzerillo's for example. But most of the "bosses" I come across are now locked up and new bosses seem to hardly be identified... which I understand is the goal, but I was just interested in seeing what I could come across.

The current boss of Corleonesi is Salvatore Lo Bue.

Casalesi is still one of most powerful Camorra clans, has been for years, then you have Vanella-Grassi,Mazzarella,Lo Russo and so on.

Piromalli,Pesce,Bellocco probably most powerful families/clans in 'Ndrangheta.

'Ndrangheta is very secretive, they even have 'secret society' within 'Ndrangheta which is called "La Santa",mostly members of freemasonry.

The bosses in Napels are not so clear as in Sicily, but currently it is estimated there are about 111 Camorra clans and over 6,700 members in Naples and the immediate surroundings
