A man robs a bank to pay for his lover's operation; it turns into a hostage situation and a media circus.

Director: Sidney Lumet

Stars: Al Pacino, John Cazale

Won 1 Oscar

A classic film from the 70's and on of my fav Pacio films..

Outstanding film, takes a lot of chances that would be unlikely today (at least in a studio film with an A-lister starring).

On a side note, is there such a thing as a film with John Cazale that is not worth seeing?
