in the last scenes of the movie, where Michael is chasing Charlie, and johnny boy, in their car, is the shooter with Michael, martin Scorsese himself, there is a shot of him shooting, and to me it looks like scorese.

Scorsese's character in "Mean Streets" is called "Shortie," and he appears in another scene with Charlie before the shooting. Scorsese also appeared as a ruthless businessman in "Quiz Show." His parents appeared in several of his movies.

"Mean Streets" is a brilliant movie.
