Sure other directors in the future who deserved it less than Marty will win, but I just don't want to see Peter do it! I'm so tired of hearing about LOTR, I will get relief if he doesn't win & if it doesn't win best picture. It's failure will be my victory! PS-fathersson, what's your problem?

awards are like sporting events...you cheer on your team. So as much as you want to put down Rings other of us stand here to cheer it on. Sorry if you don't care for us doing it, but you also had the right to sit here and knock it, just like you have been doing all night. So there is no problem, unless you are trying to start one. I sure hope not. So you are right, no fighting as we aren't here to fight. We are here to all enjoy and celebrate if we want.

1.) I haven't been "knocking it all night." I said one comment -- which wasn't even knocking it -- I said it doesn't deserve all the awards. That's not "knocking it." Come to think of it, I don't knock it at all. I avoid LOTR threads. The only thread I ever knocked the movie in was the thread where we state over-rated movies. 2.) Yeah, we cheer for our teams in sports. So, at home, cheer. I just said it's annoying when you keep posting three word posts saying "yay, another award" every time they win one. We're all watching; we all know. Even if you're not, you will tomorrow. I wasn't "knocking it" or knocking anyone -- just stating it was annoying. That's all. They keep presenting these awards for, like, short films and animated movies and sound production, etc., and building up to to the big awards. Good way to keep an audience interested. I'm still waiting for the big ones!

cheeks, I can not say for sure, but I think he was talking about Irish, not you so much.
But anyway there is no reason for anyone to get their nose out of line.
We all know the rules, if we don't like something, someone or a subject, just pass it by if it gets to annoying.
This thread is like so many...a blow by blow event thread.
By the way any awards is big for the people that do that subject. Awards for their own field
Wow, two more...dam they are giving them a bunch.

Fathersson -- it looked like a general comment. [shrugs] RB -- I wasn't in any "constant" bashing, sorry. And we know each other's stand points, exactly. So you don't have to tell us everytime they win. That's like saying you can praise it, 'cause you like it, but we can't degrade it 'cause we don't. An opinion's an opinion. We can make it known if we'd like; even if it's negative. Originally posted by raggingbull2003: Score and editing... thats 7. Oh, good thing I didn't see. M/C -- hm, good thing I never "bashed" his opinion. I only degraded the movie. And I rarely ever do that, either. It's my opinion -- I don't like it. Oh, wait, someone can go on and on saying they love it, but if you don't like it you can't say a thing. Sorry.
