I'm not about to get into an argument about this, though. I just made a comment that it was gettin' a bit annoying. You don't have to oppose every comment that doesn't agree with LOTR.

That's ok, as long as they don't win. Sure other directors in the future who deserved it less than Marty will win, but I just don't want to see Peter do it! I'm so tired of hearing about LOTR, I will get relief if he doesn't win & if it doesn't win best picture. It's failure will be my victory!

awards are like sporting events...you cheer on your team. So as much as you want to put down Rings other of us stand here to cheer it on.

A-freakin-MEN. Not just tonight, but since it came out, you two have put it down way more than we have praised it.

1.) I haven't been "knocking it all night." I said one comment -- which wasn't even knocking it -- I said it doesn't deserve all the awards. That's not "knocking it." Come to think of it, I don't knock it at all. I avoid LOTR threads. The only thread I ever knocked the movie in was the thread where we state over-rated movies.

2.) Yeah, we cheer for our teams in sports. So, at home, cheer. I just said it's annoying when you keep posting three word posts saying "yay, another award" every time they win one. We're all watching; we all know. Even if you're not, you will tomorrow. I wasn't "knocking it" or knocking anyone -- just stating it was annoying.

That's all.

They keep presenting these awards for, like, short films and animated movies and sound production, etc., and building up to to the big awards. Good way to keep an audience interested. I'm still waiting for the big ones!

You know I think that they will get so many awards because many of these people have worked several years on the three movies. They are finally over and I think their peers are tipping their hats for their long dedicated service to the trilogy.

Look at everything its won so far. Lotr is definetly taking home the best picture award. The odds are with Jackson for director, but anything could happen there. At this point, it looks nearly certain that ROTK will join Titanic and Ben Hur as the top winners of Oscar history.
