I just came upon this online. Appears to be very popular on itunes. It's a podcast history of crime in a different American city. This season, they are focused on the New England mafia in Providence. Haven't listened yet but figured some here would be interested.

was gonna post about the podcast ,did search and saw that Mike68 was on it early.

listening to chapter 2 now

How does a kid from Providence become a mob enforcer? Two men share their personal stories of joining Raymond Patriarca’s crime family. As they move from their formative years on the street to maximum security, they come up against murder charges, jailhouse feuds… and even the occasional farm animal.

I really enjoy it. It takes Providence and examines it similar to how The Wire did Baltimore except its real life. The episode that talked about the mayor taking on the mob backed garbage union was great insight in to how LCN is willing to operate. The bank vault robbery episode too.

Been listening whenever they drop a new episode. Love this podcast and the fact that it doesn't rehash the same old shit. Always unheard and interesting stories, and the website has a lot of great photos. Appreciate you guys putting me on to this one.

I just now started listening to Crimetown and just finished Ep 6. I'm hooked. They basically alternate episodes between the Patriarca
crime family and the rise of Providence mayor Buddy Cianci and often the stories are intertwined. All of the mob books I've read have been focused mainly on NYC and Chicago so I didn't know much about the New England mob. This is really a fascinating look at them.

Which stories from the podcast aren't true? And by Jerry do you mean Tillinghast from the podcast?
