Has anyone seen the book "Mafia: The Government's Secret File on Organized Crime"?

It is very interesting and is basically just FBN files on Mafioso from across the country.

There are some guys listed in the NY files whose family affiliation I cannot seem to find (if they had any at all).

Anyone know about the following?:

Alfred Guido
Angelo Abbrescia
Anthony Donato
Frank Donato
Frank Amendola
John Albasi
Joseph Bove
Joseph Foti
Lester Miraglia
Salvatore Missale
Orlando Delli Paoli
Theodore Orzo
Vincent DiStefano

Have you ever read the book about the FBN and the mafia?

I posted a link to an excerpt in the Sandino thread, here it is again......

Really? I know people on here have seen or probably own the book. I don't need a link. I have the book. Obviously I have to reference it for my question. What I'm asking is if anyone knows what families the guys I listed are in.

Sorry, I misinterpreted your post. I thought you were berating me for repeating a topic.

Never heard of that one. I will check it out. The FBN was hardcore on these guys way before the FBI.

Bill Feather at http://mafiamembershipcharts.blogspot.com/ has Salvatore "Solly" Missale listed as both a possible/suspected member and a Gambino member. The other guys on the list I posted he has listed as possible/suspected members.

Nice screens. I too have recently gotten the book, and if I'm not mistaken, some of those listed in the book aren't actual mafia members. They're major drug traffickers with mafia connections, like suppliers and customers.

Joseph Foti was proposed for membership in the 1950's, he had a huge debt. May have been made in the 1970's.
Orlando Paoli was only an associate to the Lucchese family, brother Vic was made.
Agree with Angelo Abrescia, but he was under John Ormento.

Can't get that link.

Wrong Orzo. Alphonse Orzo was made in the Lucchese family, he served as a driver and bodyguard to Paulie Ham.

Giacomo, you said Dominic Lonardo was killed by the Outfit in the 30's. That wasn't true, the guy lived on the West Coast for the majority of his life after the Sly-Fanner murders, under an alias, and attempts to extradite him back to Cleveland, by numerous officials, were never passed because each time he had witness testimonies that attributed him to being in Los Angeles at the time of the Sly-Fanner murders. Pretty sure the guy lived to old age.

I can cite numerous examples of you being flat out wrong and simply making things up. Why do you still do this?

Why do those files black out the names of some criminal associates but not the names of their civilian relatives, who are presumed innocent until proven guilty of anything? Some of those people still might be alive. Hopefully they sued the government for libel when these files got out.

"...the successful annihilation of organized crime's subculture in America would rock the 'legitimate' world's foundation, which would ultimately force fundamental social changes and redistributions of wealth and power in this country. Meyer Lansky's dream was to bond the two worlds together so that one could not survive without the other." - Dan E. Moldea
