I am the only one who really thinks they should have let mike stay for at least 2 or 3 seasons more ? I think that he is very good character, he is loyal, and crazy he would have being great for the war against NY.
what are you guys think ? Did you guys liked him ? (Pls put is beef with tony aside cuz i am sure that they could have manage to solved it somehow.

He was the season 1 nemesis, each season had one.

He logically had to go, he was hitched to Junior who had little time left, and although he may have been an asset, Tony's crew would have never absorbed him realistically.

Well he could be boss instead of tony, or a capo of junior crew

Clearly not, he lost in the power play. He was attempting to murder Tony but Tony got to him first.

As for captain of Junior's crew, after the War of '99 the crew was disbanded and the territory was collected on for Junior by Bobby until Bobby absorbed the territory or it was taken by other family members.

I see what you're saying, hypothetically, what if.

I don't think Mikey was boss material, all his earner's would have been Tony and Tony's friends. Killing Tony leaves the entire cast wanting to murder you. Tony had New York, Junior did as well but much less so realistically. Junior had connections, Tony had Johnny Sac. Mikey Palmice could have never ran the family with support of Tony's crew or from New York.

Yes but what if tony and mikey would forget about the past and then mikey will join the soprano crew, you have to admitt mikey is a great hitman and loyal guy.

He was a good character but he and Tony would’ve never gotten along had he not been clipped.

It's too bad he died before they found a cure for Fuck-face-itus.

I believe Mikey was bumped up to consigliere when Junior took over, at least de facto, though I always thought the problem with Mikey was that he acted more like an enforcer than a consigliere. He was just another yes-man for Junior and never gave any proper advice. A good consigliere is able to advise his boss even if it conflicts with his views, when did Mikey ever blatantly disagree with Junior? Sure he pushed for Tony to get whacked but only after Junior implied he needed to go. Was he a good character? Sure, Al Sapienza is a fantastic mob actor. Was he a good consigliere or a really in-depth character? Ehhhh. Not really, and when it was clear Junior was moving against Tony, the upper administration (Including Mikey and Chucky Signore) had to go, with Junior only being spared because he was related by blood to Tony. So yeah, I'm sure it would've been nice to see Mikey appear for another season or two, I always thought it would've been clever if they kept Jackie Aprile around for the entire first season instead of killing him off so early. Then by Season 2 he dies and we see the power struggle between Junior and Tony, but alas, what happened happened.
