The one on Thompson street. I can't seem to find the name anywhere, just see it commonly referred to as " a social club on Thompson street"

Really do not think it had a name , unlike Chin's club (Triangle) or (208). Tommy Ryan had the (Panel) club on Thompson street between Bleecker and w3rd. Benny's Club was at 101 Thompson st. between Prince and Spring , across from Johnny (Sausages) Barbato pork store.

Eggs Benedict.

I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

Thanks guys, I was curious about that. Read an article about the actual landlord that owned the building, this German guy. The article called it "Club 101 Thompson Street"

during the 94-95 time frame the daily news ran a series titled, MOB 2000. One of the days featured a two page map of the tri state area and identified by address and family the social clubs in NY and NJ. I had kept a copy of it and have since lost it. If anyone is capable of finding it and posting it, it was extremely informative. The families were identified with symbols. For example, all the Gambino clubs were identified with a diamond, the Columbos a square etc. But it was very detailed in the locations including Newark, and the New York areas. Does anyone else remember seeing this?

I wish there was a complete listing of all social clubs. Would be worth drive bys next time I'm killing time on that side of the tunnel.

In all of the 5 boroughs? Manhattan or just Greenwich Village?
If just Greenwich you have Benny Eggs at 101 Thompson Street. Johnny the Bug Stopelli's Vicarl Social Club at 1 King St. Italian American Social Clun at 191 Prince St. Panel Social Club at 208 Thompson. Chin's Triangle Social Club at 208 Sullivan. Tony Benders San Remo Cafe at 93 Mcdougal. Mario Gigante's Dante Social Club at 81 McDougal. Fat Dom Alongi's Columbus Social club at 14 Bedford St. or if you go further north Sally Burns Hangout Corner of Hawaii Bar at 458 6th avenue. That's a basic rundown of the main westside genovese hangouts.

Wow... I thought LCN Administration banned most social clubs after the Windows/ Gotti era. That's pretty crazy.

Some of these look open to the public. Might be worth popping in for a cocktail sometime.

dante social club at 81 macdougal was never a private social club, that was up until recent, cafe dante...a popular long standing coffee shop/cafe (similar to cafe reggio up the street). maybe mario gigante hung out there or even had an interest or stake in the place, but it was a very popular , public cafe...not a private club

Very true Cafe Dante was never a club , open to the general public. 14 Bedford st. was not Fat Dom's club either. I don't think Dom ever walked into 14 Bedford , Joey M booked out of that spot from the early 70's until he started with the cash crap games on the upper eastside. Then 14 Bedford went to Frankie Condo. Let's not forget about 107 Sullivan st. as this was Dom the Sailors club , later taken over by Eddie the Blonde after Dom died.

A lot of these locations are noted because they were frequented by gangsters, such as cafe dante. 14 Bedford was frequented by Fat Dom according to the NYPD OCCB files during the early 70s and listed as one of his main hangouts.

These are all old social clubs or hangouts back from the 50s to the 70s and are no longer used as mafia social clubs today.Cafe Dante today is a public place, back in the 50 and 60s it was the Dante Social Club.
