I was wondering if anyone else here is a fan of Nat Geo's Drugs Inc. or their new series Underworld Inc.?

If so I was wondering how do you think they go about setting up the interviews with the criminals featured in the series? Assuming it's all real?

I mean they do seem to use extensive precautions to protect their sources identity. And they have had several interesting characters incl. active LCN members on both shows.

So I was wondering how Nat Geo goes about finding these people? I was also wondering how many of these guys who have appeared on their shows been arrested due it? As if your dilligent enough you can prob peice together their real identity from using clues in the background.

Thank you for any replies I get!

My guess is that for a number of them they already interview the actual subjects in private and then use actors who basically parrot what the real people say.

Drugs inc is a bit like gangland they run out of subjects in the first few seasons and then they have to resort to having sort of fake filler episodes where they follow dealers around with cameras and shit.

They're all actors most likely. I mean, you think an actual, active drug dealer would accept to be interviewed and featured on television, censored or not? I don't think so.
