So i came across this article by Scott and it mentions 3
Names of Fat Tony's main lieutenants when he ran the 116th street crew and ive never heard of any of them before...Louis Avitabile, Salvatore Appuzzo and Louis Vigilante?

Anyone know more about these guys? I dont know the exact crew succession of the 116 street crew but i dont recall any of these guys taking over in any capacity whether that be acting or official...also can anyone shed some light on what other made guys were part of Fat Tonys crew from 1959-1978ish? Scotts article says that during this time his crew grossed fuckin 50 mil a year in gambling alone which if even remotely accurate for that time is insane...to me that would warrant him being named #1 richest wiseguy in America in that 1986 Forbes article. Any insight as always is appreciated, thanks guys

Ciro “The Artichoke King” Terranova (1910s-1932) Demoted.
Michael “Trigger Mike” Coppola (1932-1966) Died.
-Benjamin “Benny the Bum” DeMartino (1960s)
-Philip “Benny Squint” Lombardo (1960s-1966) Became Official Capo.
Philip “Benny Squint” Lombardo (1966-Early 1970s) Became Boss.
Anthony “Fat Tony” Salerno (Early 1970s-1972) Became Consigliere.
Anthony “Buckaloo" Ferro (1972-1976) Became Consigliere.
Joseph “Joe Stretch" Stracci (1976-19??)
Ralph “Farby” Serpico (19??-19??)
Saverio “Sammy” Santora (19??-1981) Became UnderBoss.
Benjamin “Benny the Bum” DeMartino (1981-19??)
Liborio “Barney” Bellomo (1980s-Present) Became Acting Boss/Imprisoned.
-Ralph Coppola (1990-1998) Killed.
-Frank “Farby” Serpico (1998-2001) Imprisoned.
-Also served as Acting Boss.
-Ernest Muscarella (1998-2002) Imprisoned.
-Also served as Acting Boss.
-Louis Moscatiello (2002-2003) Imprisoned.
-Arthur "Artie" Nigro (2003-2007) Imprisoned.
-Also served as Acting Boss

I think Pasquale "Patty Boy" Falcetti is captain of that crew now.

I've also seen the $50 million figure a lot, usually in relation to his huge numbers operation.

Ivy appreciate the response and the info pal, so Patty Falcetti is the skipper now are they still based out of East Harlem?

Do you know anything about the 3 lieutenants that Scott mentioned? Never heard those names before but as an admitted mob novice that means nothing..id assume they were made guys to hold that position if scotts facts are in fact accurate

Salvatore "Sally Irons" Appuzzo was the chief enforcer of the 116th crew from the time of Coppola in the 1950's, till his death in the late 1970s.
Louis "The Gimp" Avitable was Salerno's driver and bodyguard. He retired sometime during the Commission Case. Passed away in the early 1990s.
Louis Vigilante? I don't know, but I am sure someone on here will know.

No, they moved their base of operations to the Bronx and long time ago. Still some activity in East Harlem but more the Bronx , Westchester, etc now.

Very nice info Ivy. What activity are you referring to specifically when you say there's still activity in east harlem?

Well, it may not be that crew specifically, as I'm still not totally clear on his origins but among the charges in the 2007 indictment against Danny Leo was extortion of gambling operators in East Harlem. It was the Pisacanos, which I thought was strange because they seem to have been affiliated with the Genovese family for years and it would be more a case of them kicking up tribute than extortion.
