Yea i saw this article today as well Dante..id like to try it Collingswood is like an hour from me in bucks county...i like how Lutz has a giant mural of like Vito Corleone, John Gotti, Al pacino, and fuckin Pesci in Goodfellas...its very hokey but id for sure eat there.

random question, but I went on my honeymoon 2 years ago to Aruba and went into the Sopranos Piano bar which is right by all the main resorts and shit...the maitre de said that some of the cast owned it or invested in it, but he didnt know who, shot in the dark does anyone know who it is? it was a decent place, good cigars

I think you are thinking of Philip Genovese, but it is possible that Peter is related to Vito Genovese.

Fat Angelo works the restaurant hard, he was there working hard when I went there. The food is very good, I recommend. The girl I took on a date there still talks about how good the place was to me two years later.

He's not. In fact he mentions it in almost every mob article he writes. Suprised he didn't in this one.

We just ate there again recently. Phenomenal. Seriously great food. The mob decor is corny as hell tho, they even have a painting of Merlino, it was right above our table lol

This logic is just asinine.

Now, obviously a different class of restaurant...but thats like saying all of Gordon Ramseys restaurants are shit and his food isnt that good since he isnt in all of them behind the stove.

Come on now.

Oh, I'm an Italian-American from Jersey who grew up working in restaurants- I didn't mean it that Fat Ang was actually doing the cooking!! LOL it's done by the Mexicans....When I was there Fat Ange was working the kitchen though more so as an expeditor (for those of you who never worked in a restaurant ever, basically the person who sees every dish on its way out) . He was also working the front of the house a little bit too. You can tell the guy works the restaurant hard. What I meant by the fact that Angelo was a great cook is that they're obviously all his recipes and the ingredients are spot on, so he has a good hook up in the ingredients dept.

Joey is a complete thief and given the rep he has, I bet he does. He takes from everyone he possibly can take from. I've said it on here before but I used to date a South Philly girl for several years (why I'm tuned into Philly a little bit) and I heard a story of Joey being out to eat and the poor waiter shaking violently bringing him his espresso , spilling it all over when he was serving Joey at a restaurant , because he was so scared/intimidated of what Joey was going to do to abuse him- this was a kid waiter. At one point Philly LCN was thinking of whacking Fat Ange because of what he knows by the way allegedly

BTW Met her after a Knicks at Sixers game that me and my boys took the road trip to see and we went out in South Philly afterwards, don't ever date a South Philly girl, word to the wise! LOL.... (I've shared this before but the highlight of my relationship with her was one night in March 2014 we were out at Quattro in South Philly and I witnessed Sonny Mazzone light a stink bomb and throw it into a packed men's room on a Saturday night and run away laughing, made me laugh so hard!) I wish I snapped a pic of him giggling and running away after lighting it, it's one of the funniest sights my eyes have ever seen just the facial expressions and because he looks like he's from Mice of Men

Does merlino and friends pop in every once in awhile. Seems like he's in good standing read somewhere merlino wanted to open a thing like Lutz's down south.

They hammered Fat Ange at sentencing because he was the only one who had bail and he was running his mouth off to the media non stop and also helping to relay messages to the outside because he was free to come and go from court daily while on bail.....

What did you get there? I had the seafood pasta (close resemblance to zuppa di Pesce) dish when I went there and it was amazing...

They gave him 7 years because he didn't plead out to the extortion charge they were trying to hit him with. He said in the interview he would plead to the gambling which would have been a 3 to 4, but wasn't going take the charge for extortion, a crime he says he didn't commit.

Another messed up story he tells is when his mother passed away, 6 years into his sentence. The feds said they would let him attend the funeral on one condition, if he ratted on his co-d's. 6 years in and they still tried flipping the guy. He's def a trooper, never stopped fighting and came out on top. Good Luck to ya, Ange!

Someone I am friendly with is very close with Lutz. I've heard this as well. At first, I didn't believe it, simply because it's Collingswood and more conspicuous than a south Philly hangout. But, I was proven wrong on that. It's not a daily occurrence, but it's also not uncommon.

My buddy says that he (not Lutz) was concerned for Angelo because these guys were coming around and he didn't want Lutz to fall back. But, he told me Lutz is a really solid person. Lutz feels that he shouldn't have to turn his back on his friends because He's not doing anything wrong and has nothing to hide.

After watching this video, I buy that he has this attitude. More power to him. He got a few licks in with his comments and he gives a bit of extra credit to the slyness of his buddies. But, he was pretty straight-forward in the video.

Lutz has some hotties working there as waitresses , I must say from what I remember during my one time visit (I don't get to South Jersey very often or ever really)

Good for him. Did his time and changed his life. Glad to see the restaurant is doing well.
