I believe Amuso was one of the few members that switched to a different family or crew when Larry Gallo passed away in 1968. He was definitely with the Lucchese family by 1970, and was not involved with the second Gallo War, though h,e did stay in contact with a couple of the Gallo crew members. I don't believe Vic was even with the Genovese family. Dont know about that, thats great info. The Colombos look like they were a pool of talent, look at how manny high ranking mobster did they produce for THE OTHER FAMILLIES.To bad that they had bad ledership, and all the wars. What was the epicentar of Brooklyn mafia in the 50s,60s and 70s,what neighbourhood?in your opinion.

Bensonhurst, that is where all five families really rubbed shoulders in Brooklyn at the same time. Yes,I thought so.Thank you very much G_V..Of topic, did you read Murder machine? How did Gaggi steal DeMeo from The Luccheses, how did he come about Roy?Thank you.I realize that this has nothing to do withe my topic, but it is what it is. Gaggi was looking for enforcers for Big Pauls crew. If I remember correctly DeMeo was on recorded with either Michele or Silvio Dellacagna by the early 1960s who were members of the Lucchese family. Gaggi was able to convince Dellacagna that Roy would be guaranteed a button with the Gambinos when the books opened. The South Brooklyn Lucchese crews had a lot of talents in them that members didn't not know if their associates would be made or not. Dellacagna wanted Roy to get a button even if it meant he would get one in a different family. By the late 1960s, DeMeo was with Gaggi.

Yes,Mike the hammer Dellacagna was that guy who brought Roy around. He was ether with Paul Vario or at that time Chrstie tick.Roy was going nowhere with the lukes so he switched to Gambinos.Very good info GV.thank you very much. Im guessing Roy thought Varios crew was to big and that he had a lot of associates, and he had a better chance with Big pauls crew witch at the time was still growing..Thank youu

The Dellacagnas were originally with Sonny C, then Tick took over the crew in the late 1950s. Roy was on record with Dellacagna and only Mike could release Roy, but he still had to bring it up to Chrstie to get the ok. This way there would be no confusion with who Roy was with. Same thing with Gaggi, he had to bring up to Paul, so both families Capos knew about it and inform the rest of their crews and the families administrations. Wow,thats great info.Tell me please who is this Sonny C you are talking about? In your opinion Mike Dellacagna was a Canarsie/East NY guy?And finally how what do you think how many made men did Christie tick control BEFORE the books opened in 1976? Sorry to bombard you with all these questions,I want you to know im very greatfull for your time.

Sonny C was Salvatore Curiale. Curiale was from Red Hook/Carroll Garden, then moved to Bensonhurst in the the Mid 1940s. He was a Capo in the Lucchese family when the families were formed to the late 1950s. He pretty much ran Brooklyn for the Lucchese family. The Dellacagnas were from Park Slope. After 1946, Michele moved to Gravesend, and Silvio moved to Bergen Beach. Silvio was known as a bag man to the cops from Bay Ridge to East New York. How many members in that crew is hard to say as Curiale pasted away the crew split into at least three crews, Funeri, Vario, and a North Brooklyn crew around Clinton Hill and Fort Geene. It was a huge crew before the early 1960s. Bobby Amuso passed away I think in the early 2000s, also there was not enough to charge Robert as a lot of the stuff is hearsay. Wow,thats exelent.Thats really something,I have heard about Salvatore c but had no idea of where he came from, michael aswell.Thank you very much G_V,you really know your stuff.Great job. Can you name some of the capos of that North Brooklyn crew?
