Hey just wondering why you never see any documentaries about what the mob is upto these days?, those 'inside the american mob" series on netflix is good but its goes upto around 1997 or so....and then it trys to convince you theres no mafia today.

It almost seems like the modern mafia is paying off people to make them invisible lol lol lol

So do you guys know of anything you can watch on todays or like 10 years ago mafia?

Thanks!

Nothing particularly interesting is going on in the mob nowadays and the mafia as a subject became more-less washed up. There's no John Gotti's running around ordering hits on bosses or Vincent Gigante's playing crazy to avoid prosecution.

As for mafia documentaries in general, nobody wants to watch the same thing over and over again.

There was a documentary on YouTube about the big NY mob takedown in either 2008 or 2011.

That there isn't any more John Gottiā€™s does give the impression to the average person that the mob is gone. But if you follow the ongoing cases, the mob has continued to be very active in NY. And elsewhere to a lesser extent.

Yea I allways want to see more documentary's etc of todays mafia but I allways wondered if people are scared to make video's on the criminals currently involved. That would be my guess or maybe there just isn't any interest anymore because there isn't much violence anymore. It also might be hard getting accurate information on these guys because there very secret now a days. Just mention Philly they try to figure that family out all the time and still don't get it right.
