Seems like they aren't doing pump and dumps, or securities frauds etc. I know it was big in the 90s. Have tighter regulations etc meant the mob no longer use such rackets?
last case i know of was 5 years ago other cases through the 2000s one in 2000 one in 2004 there has been prob more but yearh pump and dumps are on the decline mob wise
but if your talking about fraud in general then there has been several cases scarfo junior that bonanno soldier guys getting busted in 2013
I dont know if the mob is involved but pump and dump is alive and well in the stock market and I would say with social media it's even worse then before . Especially with small biotech companies .
PM me and I'll give you a bad one
Shocking I know but it's pretty bad and index / ETF investing is giving these companies even more buying activity. The bull market seems to be slowing or pausing so hopefully they get exposed soon .
Seems like the peak of mob involvement in the pump and dump scams were in the late 1990's/early 2000's. There were others since then but the last one was around 2010 or so if I remember right.
