I once read that he had an interest in an oil field as well as like 10 or 20 percent of the Dallas Cowboys;
I was like bullshit, then I read this... It makes it seem much more plausible

Any thought?

He owned a part of Bally's at one point, if I remember right.

That's exactly why this oil rig, Dallas cowboy thing seems more plausible to me after reading this;
Costello big in slots and coin operated gambling machines, Jerry Catena obviously cut in, right in the link, investments in oil fields and land in TEXAS and Oklahoma.....
But I would have to verify the Cowboys thing, I imagine that would be something kept hush, but then again he was the owner of a big legal company, maybe before the senate hearings?

Catena was also connected with the Chicago Outfit in many businesses such as the casinos in Vegas, oil wells in Texas, real estate etc. On January 12, 1965 Sam Giancana was observed in New York together with Catena. Giancana was probably telling Catena that he was going to turn over his operations to Sam Battaglia

For sure, large chunk of those slots, pinball machines, were manufactured in CHicago factories,...
Trust me I know, one of these companies eventually became MIDWAY games, they had a lotta arcade games, I grew up on Mortal KOmbat, even through some people in the know I managed to get autographed copies of phtographs from the game actors, like the guy who played Liu KAng and Raiden I think.... Long time ago now..
But yeah, it's something very overlooked, Hy LArner? Was that his name? I think he had control over the machines, lotta of em went to COstello, Outfit and the Luciano family were always very close...
