Maybe I'm mistaken, but how could Richie get away with attacking Beansie and trying to shake him down for a % of his pizza parlors? I understand that Richie was made and Beansie wasn't, but Beansie still kicked up to Tony. Which basically meant that Richie, fresh out of prison, just tried to shake down a business that paid to the boss himself. Made or no made, you can't just try to take a piece of the boss's own money source without getting your kneecaps broken.

Richie money put him in business to begin with.

Beans should give Richie money. He was right to ask him for a piece of his places when he got out.

Tony washed his money through the pizza places. They were not Tony's pizza places.

When Tony tells Richie to lay off Beansie, he says he's a good earner. Richie replies, "yeah, for you." I thought that meant that Beansie put money in Tony's pocket.

How was he a good earner? Making money from selling pizza's?

The actor that plays beansey is living in LA now. He works in an Italian restraint there I forget the name of the place.

He used to live in NYC he worked in both cafe centrals first in the one on Amsterdam ave. then moved to the new cafe central on 9th av.

I met him when he worked there on Amsterdam ave. that is how he made all his TV and movie connections

I don't think it was ever stated where that money came from. But as Tony said he was an earner, Richie shouldn't have touched him without repercussions. It has nothing to do with Beansie himself, but the fact that Richie is attacking the boss's source of income.

Tony also mentions that the pizza places were an all cash business and that it would come in handy. I would assume that they were used to launder dough (haha) from other less legal enterprises. It was in Tony's best interest to keep Beansie happy and more importantly quiet.
