I met and spoke to Michael Franzese a few nights ago. He seemed genuine and sincere, although many of you will probably doubt it. He is very honest about the devastation 'the life' has brought upon his family.

This has prompted me to read his books. Now that he is on the public speaking circuit, I suppose most of his mob stories have been told, but he knew all the biggest LCN mobsters in New York City who are now gone - Gotti, DeMeo, Dellacroce, Big Paul, etc.

Franzese said he maintained reasonable relations with Gotti, but he and Castellano never 'warmed' to each other.

I got the impression Franzese thought Sammy the Bull was a fool for screwing up - he got a 'get out of jail free' card, yet he ended up back in the joint due to his ecstasy dealing.
