*RRA wakes up from coma*

Wow, its been eons since I've been on these boards. Maybe this means 2016 won't be like '12 where we had Donald Trump trolling the presidential race, the GOP primary field be such a pathetic line-up, and never-happy liberals not be so whiny. Maybe things will be different this time?

*Looks around*

NOPE! Sigh.

Anyway some people (like I don't know the GOP party leaders) had hoped Trump would not officially file the paperwork to run because that would mean having to disclose his finances despite all of his hot air.

Well that hope just croaked. He just signed financial disclosure forms with the FEC. He claims he's worth "TEN BILLION DOLLARS." (His words, not mine.)

Salerno was Genovese family. And yes, S&A did the work on the Trump Tower. It was Salerno's company but, if I'm not mistaken, Castellano also had an interest in it. Probably why only that company got the biggest jobs in the city.

There is something about 16 people "throwing their hat in the ring" that sounds....desperate. I think the Constitution encourages revolution when the people think the government has gotten off track. I think they are off. Where are the leaders? It's getting scary. We don't need politicians anymore. We need leaders.

Really I am surprised. We oue 18 trillion by the end of 2016 it will be 3 trillion more.. Will Hillary lower that number or raise it? Are we buying euros with a trillion of printed money a year with nothing to back it up? Who will stop that Hillary? There is no other choice other then Hillary.

What do you have going for you when the dollar crashes?

It is going to be fun times if Hillary becomes president.

Its a damn hard job. Apart from the privilege of being the most powerful man (woman) in the world it must be a nightmare for your stress levels. Poor old Obama looks like he has aged 20 years in the last 7....

Absolutely. People need to keep in mind that during one's term, there is never a time when one is not President. One does not get to leave it behind.

I hope to god they get trump out early, this guy is a nightmare.
he amassed a fortune by going bankrupt three times, leaving hundreds of people that he owed money, never seeing the money he owned them.

three times he screwed hundreds over.

You know how he makes money. He buys building, planes and other shit for practically nothing with no money of his own.

Then he has people he uses a lot of the same people to put bids on his projects. They give him their very bottom line as a bid because they want him to use them a again.

Then he sells them or owns them and rents out space.

It is a beautiful way to make a lot of money while spending little or no money down.

He uses the laws of the land that includes bankruptcy laws. He would be stupid not to.

I think he would consider the Presidency as a business venture. I would not be afraid to vote for him if he was the rep nominee.

I think he is not a go along guy so the party would not want him for that reason. So don't worry about it.

But the only choice you have in the other party is Hillary. That is no choice she is a bad word in every way.

That was an asshole thing to do, but I do admit I'd probably pay to see a Trump versus Sanders battle.

Most of those candidates running don't think they can win, at least I don't think they do. Some are running out of ego. Some are running to increase their name's visibility out there so they can sell more books or get a Fox News TV, whatever. Some think they can actually win, and some think they might have a chance if the party base sours on the contenders and fortunes break in their favor.

Of the GOP field, honestly the only "serious" candidates I see are Jeb and Walker. Several of my Lefty friends insist Rubio is another, but...sorry, don't see it yet.

What's unfortunate for the Republicans is that if not for the bridge scandal that refuses to go away, my bets would've been on Christie to not just win the nomination, but a legitimate shot at winning the general. Why? Because Hillary is a shitty candidate out in public, awkwardly trying to act human this side of Nixon. Christie for his problems can think on his feet and be genuinely entertaining.

But since Christie beat himself before his opponents could beat him, nevermind.

In that hypothetical match-up, I really have a hard time believing Hillary would lose unless the economy shits the bed like in '08.

But yes talk about Americans loving their franchises.

is there any democrat that can beat Hillary for the democratic nomination?

or are we stuck with her for the presidential election?

He's as likely to win that nomination as Trump is to win the GOP nomination.

exactly.

I think his brash style would have been a hard sell to middle america, but seemingly it was his race to lose.

Shows you that he and his team were just not ready for prime time. Arrogant enough to play silly payback games as Christie was seriously being groomed for national office.

Bush league stuff....no pun intended.
