The U.S. Women's national team has been looking very bad in this tournament. But in this game they looked a lot better.

Last WC women's Japan won. Japan is playing in the semi final tomorrow against England. Japan has been undefeated and untied so far.

Winner of the game plays US.

Yea I hope England wins. Easier road for us IMHO. Japan is the real threat I thought from the beginning of the tourney. Didn't they beat us in the last World Cup?

Don't get the women's game confused with the men's game. A good boys team under 16 could beat any women's team.

Japan beat England 2-1 on an own goal scored by an English player in the 89 minute. Bad lose for England.

Where did I say they could beat the men or hang with the men's teams? I simply said I wished our men's team was as good as the women.

As for the own goal for England tonight, WTF was that woman thinking? I'm still trying to figure out what she was doing, I admit I'm still trying to figure out everything about soccer but I cannot for the life of me figure out what she was attempting to do there. Seems like to me any move to make the ball go towards her own goalkeeper there risks an own goal and sure enough she was burnt.

They already know because that is who they train against.

When you get turned around we teach them to send the ball to the left or right of the goal. So if a mistake happens you give up a corner and not a goal. Pressure creates mistakes that is a fact. If I was their coach I would take the whole team out to dinner. Then talk about what a great WC they had.

Yea I didn't like it when we kind of settled down and goofed off when it was 4-nil but I think we could have scored 10 if we really wanted to today. A hat trick in 16 minutes? That is shit I do on my FIFA game, it's not supposed to happen in real life! That was CRAZY!

As a non-soccer fan, I enjoyed it. My grandson was watching it because he thought there were boys and girls playing. He is 5 years old. The Japanese goalie looked like a male.

Well people here in the states on average don't take our foot ball/ soccer seriously men or women.

I am sure England, Germany only take the men's game seriously not even the youth men's game.

My opinion I went years without watching a women's game. Here in NYC the men's game and youth men's game matter to me because I coached both.

But the last three games that the U.S. Women played they came a live. Played much better then they did previously. The last game they kicked ass.

They were smart enough to move up their hot players. Pressure forces mistakes Japan made plenty of mistakes.

England take their youth and womens soccer set up very seriously.

mexico vs jamaica in the finals....aka the macho bowl

The U.S. Men lost to Jamaica. They let in two bad goals early in the first half.

But they were out playing Jamaica early in the second half broadly score a goal. They the U.S. Dominated play after.

The last ten minutes when we subbed we did not improve the team we made it worse. You sub to improve the team. We had to by pass the midfield with long passes because we took our mids out and moved up Bradley too high up field. Before that Bradley played a back and passed long from the back a stupid move.

All long passes when you pass long when the opponents are all back on defense. Those passes are not even 50/50 balls their 60/40 balls in the opponents favor. Could not even play the ball back from there even If we won the ball.

We choked no confidence that we could get shots off in those 10 minutes playing the normal way.

Then the opponent played balls on the touch line. One back on our team kept hitting the ball out for more throw ins wasting time.. Better to let the ball more in side the field then try to win the ball.

Mexico should win the championship game.

never mind who wins the game I'm betting on the number of fans arrested...Mexico is notorious for having THE worst fans in the western hemisphere and the stadiums have been PACKED with them at every game, but Jamaicans don't understand the concept of backing down so outnumbered or not....it's on and poppin' in the stands...especially if the Brooklyn Jamaicans travel down there...


I missed the Panama/Mexico game but refs blew a critical call and there was almost a riot.....in fact, had the call gone the other way (against Mexico) there would have been a riot.
