With nothing good on tv I just threw in an old tape of a series called ''mouth Piece'' attorney's for the mob...It was televised on the history channel and was very good...I tried looking on line to post it here for you guys but can't find it...

Frank Ragano, Jimmy La Rossa, Robert Simone and Samuel liebowitz..I never saw the Liebowitz one though...But the other 3 were very good...

Its on Amazon if anybody's interested...$10...I highly recommend it !!

Editorial Reviews
MOUTHPIECE: VOICE OF THE ACCUSED chronicles the careers of criminal defense attorneys Frank Ragano, Samuel Leibowitz, James LaRossa, and Robert Simone. Each episode shows how they acquired their infamous clients and details their courtroom tactics and strategies against government prosecutors. Interviews with these Mouthpieces reveal the motives behind what drove them to represent the Mob and their methods to prevent their clients from being convicted. The miniseries recreates actual events using archival footage, dramatizations and exclusive interviews with noted criminal defense attorneys, federal and state justices, law enforcement agents, historians, crime reporters, FBI informants, and other experts in organized crime investigation. Experts include Rudolph Giuliani, former Mayor of the City of New York and former US Attorney, G. Robert Blakey, law professor and author of the 1970 RICO Act, Michael Chertoff, prosecutor ("The Commission Case") and Director of the Organized Crime Division of the Department of Justice, Robert B. Fiske, former U.S. Attorney and "Whitewater" Independent Council, Jules Bonavolonta, former chief of the FBI Organized Crime unit; New York State Supreme Court Justice Edwin Torres, author of Carlito's Way and Q&A,, and the former Mafia hit man turned FBI informant Nicky "The Crow" Caramandi.

Jimmy La Rossa passed away not too long ago. Incredible lawyer. And here's the rare part: I never heard of a client bitching about him. Because, generally speaking, wiseguys love to curse their attorneys. Like it's their fault their clients would rather hijack a truck than take a job pouring concrete (or any other job for that matter).

Classy guy. He even took on Greg towards the end. And by that point in his life (the Garcia sting-op), there wasn't a lawyer left who wanted any part of him as a client. That's how fucking abusive that guy was. Especially when he was broke, which was more often than most people would believe. He pulled off the money look, but he didn't own anything. When he came home from the Scores bid, he ended up in a tiny garden apartment in Tuckahoe (and it wasn't even the "nice" part of Tuckahoe).

I hope Bronx reads this post. I guarantee he'll agree with me on this one.

Good thread, DiLorenzo. I'm sorry I hijacked it a little bit. But we should definitely keep this one ongoing as a "Mob Lawyers" thread smile.

No prob...Jimmy La Rossa was a likable guy, unlike a Bruce Cutler...In this documentary they go over how he pulled a houdini and got Joe watts acquitted of murder despite the boat load of evidence against him with a masterful cross examination of Fat Dom.

These are certainly in the my top 3 favorite documentaries !!
